The great beer selection here is what drew us in the door. That, plus it was pretty close to our hotel and we'd just biked 80 miles, so we didn't want to walk far. Â
Unfortunately, they have only 1 entree option that is vegetarian. The vegetarian wrap wasn't great, plus they were out of hummus, which was pretty disappointing. My husband liked his buffalo grilled chicken wrap and the buffalo sauce that came with it was really delicious for dipping. Â The fries are nothing to write home about- just the typical sports bar fare.
The staff was friendly, and as I said, they have a great beer selection. At least 20 options on tap with a large selection of bottles too. Â I tried the Piney Ridge IPA made in MO, and my husband stuck with a Boulevard Wheat when he learned they were out of the Left Hand Milk Stout that was still written up on the chalk board, which acted as their beer list. Â Each pint was $3.25 at happy hour - 25 cents off the regular price.
If ever back in town, I'd come back for a pint but not for the food.
Let's be honest - there aren't a lot of options for lunch in downtown Jefferson City. This place has a big menu. The burgers aren't bad. Nothing special, but to their credit it seems like they actually cook their food here (and don't just take something frozen and toss it in the deep fryer). I'll be back, I'm sure. Not because I love it, but because it's convenient and decent.
Review Source:I went here for late lunch and I am very impressed. Â The broiled pork cutlet sandwich was large and delicious. Â The side of cole slaw, not so good. Â The beer is fresh and cold. Â The Buzztime works well, both Texas holdem and trivia. Â The service by Kelsi was excellent. Â They do a good business here but keep up with orders quite well. Â Plenty of TV screens for sports too. Â Try it and you'll go back, I know I will.
