Jamie's is a total locals joint, tends to get rowdy on Friday and Saturday nights, and I'm talking seriously rowdy.  But if you're looking for cheap (and I mean cheap) strong (very strong) drinks this is the place for you.  It's not a bar for foo-foo crap.  The bar tenders are great (treat them well and they will be good to you).  You won't have the most well balanced drinks but you will get wasted for cheap. Gotta love it.

And Rosie's next door serves decent Mexican food (great eats for a drunk)

Jaime's is cash only after 9pm (when Rosie's closes).

Go there if you want to understand the new PBS special on Gangs in California.  But I actually do recomend going there. Its a cultural experience.

The restaurant adjacent to this has yummy food. this is an cool place to get drinks.  also a locals bar and i mean LOCALS. i would think twice about going there unaccompanied.
