This was, in fact, the first non family wedding I've ever attended or been invited to and frankly it was awesome. The venue was a beautiful little chapel in South Carolina, filled with family and friends of the bride and groom. I love the bride and groom, and will always remember their wedding fondly.

This being yelp, I feel obliged to mention the fantastic reception, er after party. Lots of great food, drink, dancing, conversation, sour patch kids (!!!!), and fun. Thanks y'all for letting me crash your wedding.

It was, in fact, awesome. Yelp Elites as far as the eye can see, great food that exceeded my low expectation of wedding fare, all set to a secluded (really, where's my cell reception?) but beautiful island backdrop. It was like Dawson's Creek with vodka.

Love these guys. Wouldn't have wanted to spend my weekend any other way than seeing them get hitched.

Thanks to James H.'s parents for a great cocktail welcoming party, and to Laura W. (well now H's) folks for a fabulous wedding.

It's a special day when two people come together. But what really made Laura and James H.'s wedding so amazing is that the folks who were responsible for the matchmaking were all there. From their beloved parents right on down to the Yelp crew. Shout outs were given to Kathleen M., Ivan S., and Elizabeth H. because it's the 3 of them (plus yours truly) who set the couple up.

Kathleen hosted the Yelp event where they first met. Ivan was the one who told James, "Hey you should date that Laura girl. If not, date her roommate (Elizabeth)." And then it was yours truly who sat between James & Laura at UYE Chinese New Year and over dim sum realized I was in the middle of some serious chemistry. Y'all, I swear I felt something between these two.

The next time we were all together (at a UYE brunch at Rosebud then kept the party going at The Highlander) I had a few too many and got the gumption to give Laura's number to James. Of course, since I'd imbibed, I screwed up a digit. So James had to message Laura for her correct number. Good move, pal.

All I'm saying is, when the Yelp babies start coming, we all deserve to be god parents.
