Best. Burgers. And. Fries. Period. We drive from humble all the time. Totally worth it. Get the big dirty. Go big.

I had the bacon, mushroom, & Swiss burger and it was the best burger that I have ever eaten. It was so good that I am anxious to visit the area again....just to have another burger!

Oh....and the onion rings are amazing!

My wife and I have eaten at Jax twice while this is hours drive for us.  The Jalapeño bread is a must for any of the burgers.  I rate Jax with a 4 star only because I have not been in the beer  bar yet. I am sure I will be adjusting the rating once we make another trip.

Oh yes, I freakin love Jax! Turkey cranberry sandwich dipped in the broccoli soup is a must! Seasoned salt on the table is a nice blend. I always taste my fellow diners food ( cause I usually  have to pay) so I know all the food is good. Very nostalgic history filled building on the square in Liberty.

I was in Liberty for a ghost hunt at the nearby Historic Ott Hotel. Before the hunt began, we all went over to Jax for something to hold us over throughout the night.

The menu looked so good that I changed my mind several times before settling on fried catfish and shrimp. I was impressed with the shrimp and the steak fries, but not the shrimp which was a little over-fried for my taste. The hush-puppies were great, too, having a hint of jalapeno.

One of my companions had the Big Dirty hamburger which looked awesome. I might have to try that next time. She had the onion rings which reminded me of the type Luther's BBQ used to have in Houston. They were large, breaded, and delicious.

Were coming back from Beaumont and we needed to stop for a lunch break. We looked this place up (and boy are we glad we did)! They have amazing hamburgers here and you get to fix them up the way you want. Definitely a place I want to eat at again when in the Liberty area

This place has some of the best burgers I have ever ate.  They make there own bread buns and just about everything on the menu is good.  The grilled chicken salads are huge/tasty and the baked potatoes are the bomb.  If you ever catch yourself on on Hwy 90 head through Liberty, stop off at Jax and get you some great food!

Needed something from the WalMart in Liberty, so Googled to see what there would be to eat in that direction.  JAX HAMBURGERS got lots of good reviews.  OK then...lets give it a try.
Ordered the Guacamole Burger with Jalapeno bun.  The meat was a bit small, but very tasty.  You dress your burger from the salad bar, so there's no reason you can't pile on the fixin's.  The guacamole was perfect, with just the right tang.  The burger overall was absolutely delicious.  One of the best burgers ever.  Rates right up there with SMASHBURGER.
The fries were large steak fries...very nice.  The onion rings were huge slices of onions with a crispy crust (maybe cornmeal based).  The service was great.  The tables were promptly bussed as customers left.  This is a really good burger place with all the right stuff.

    Simple place.  Good food.

Met a friend for lunch up in Liberty where he lives.  He suggested Jax Hamburgers, and I'm always up for trying little hole in the wall places.  It seems to be quite popular with the locals, as the restaurant was about 75% full at lunch.  I had the BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger on Jalapeno bread.  It was good, but $6 for just the burger seemed a little pricey.  Had I had fries and a drink with it,  it would have cost me closer to $10.  After ordering you just kinda wait for a while, and eventually they call your name to pick it up.  I'd be up for giving it another go if I end up in Liberty again.

Not sure why this place has not received a review. Situated in the square downtown, charming is the way to describe the store front and interior. Jax is uncomplicated. All meals available are written on chalk boards as you approach the cashier/order area. Hamburgers are first however, many types of sandwiches and fried seafood baskets are available.

My wife and I pass through Liberty on our way to and from Houston on our monthly shopping and entertainment excursions. Jax is a very pleasant, inexpensive place to stop for a delicious lunch or a not-too-late dinner.
