  I stopped in for lunch, Great food, Friendly staff. This is in a historical building and that have the awesome old wooden bar. That also have a table set up for beer pong so I imagine this place is a bit wiled once the sun goes down.
  I stooped in for lunch a 2nd time and was talking to the bartender and found out he was one of the owners. They have only taken ownership a few months ago "4/2013"
  They have added several beers on tap and added a much larger liquor selection. If you haven't been there recently stop in and try out the new menu.

  Portions are generous and I really do enjoy the Minnesota Turkey Club sandwich on wild rice and cranberry bread. The service is pretty consistent, although their mixed drinks are usually pretty watered down.

  Good bar food!  Try the BLT or the French Dip.  The waffle fries are good and crispy with some tasty "tiger" sauce.

  I like the atmosphere of this place and the homemade lasagna was pretty good.  Being from the cities, I wouldn't make an extra trip to make sure I swing by there, but the price is fairly reasonable and the wait staff is friendly.

  Jefferson's is one of my favorite places to eat in Winona...and I have lived their for 20 years!  Try the home made corn bread with honey butter and their chicken noodle soup...YUM!

  From my two experiences, I'd recommend heartland food like barbecue over coastland food like fish.  I had some chicken with bacon and barbecue sauce that was excellent, then some salmon the next time that was good but bland.  I live in San Francisco so I have a high standard for salmon; but I've lived in San Antonio as well and I thought the barbecue sauce Jefferson's uses was delicious.
  
  They also have good drinks---we enjoyed the bloody marys last Sunday---and very pleasant and helpful servers.  I look forward to my next visit.

  It was your typical American Restaurant. Good food, big portions on mash Potatoes with my meat, and damn good drinks. I love the fact that it is decorated with old movie posters, and some of my favorite old movies. Good place to go have a quiet catch up lunch with a close friend. I totally heart homey American restaurants.

  Decent bar and grill type food.  The hot wings came in pretty hefty portions, I could swear that the "one pound" feels much heavier.
  
  But seriously, I felt that I was paying San Francisco prices for food and drink in Winona.  At least my Jack on the rocks had a lot of Jack and not a lot of rocks.
