Passing through Eaton, and glad we stopped here @ this little hole in the wall sports bar ("Great Eatin' in Eaton" is their slogan....heh!) Â It was close to 2 in the afternoon and we pretty much had the place to ourselves (Ohio people really eat right on schedule, hmmm!!??!!) so didn't fight crowds or anything like that. Â I love surprises, and NEVER would have imagined the great bar food PLUS menu-- GREAT sandwich choices, burgers looked AMAZING, and my cobb salad was FRESH (not from a bag, nor just a pile of sad iceburg lettuce...) and served with HOMEMADE dressing--- In a sports bar?!? Â Plenty of great brews on tap, and no rush to eat and run... Once again, proof that there are PLENTY of great choices outside of the chains!!
Review Source:Eat'n in Eaton? Â Try out Jell's, Â Heading to Dayton from Indy and decided to take the back roads. Â Pulled to the side of the road and asked a local, "Where do you eat" Â He points over his shoulder, "Jell's" Â
Jills is simple little tavern where you can enjoy the local dialect (yes you do speak different in OH :) ) Â . The owner suggested the Pollock Fish sandwich. Â OK, I had cod, catfish, what is Pollock? Â Well let me tell you, it was great. Â I also tried some OH beer from the Great Lakes Brewing Co. Â YUM. Â
Advice, get off the Freeway and try out Jell's
