I went here with a group of kids and it was a blast. They had a live band playing on the patio and it was very picturesque. It took awhile for service, but the kids were distracted by the band that they hardly noticed. Once we had our food, it was delicious and it was a great place to go. I would go back but it wouldn't be my first choice though.
Review Source:Don't come here if you are on a schedule. You'll never get to eat. I came here twice. The first time I had the patience and time to wait, the second time around I didn't. I spent fifteen minutes waiting for service and then, when the waiter came, she told me that it would be a thirty minutes wait. At that point the restaurant was full and no one had food on their tables.
It is a shame that the kitchen and the service are not well organized, because the restaurant, their staff and the owners are so nice. Besides, they welcome dogs and I always appreciate that so much.
Regarding the food, it is good. I liked my burger and French fries smothered in green chile stew. It felt very homey.
This was as nice a place as any to stop off and have lunch while cruising up State Route 4. They serve breakfast all day, which is nice, and they have a nice patio for seating when the sun's out (and lucky for us, it was!)
The menu choices were varied, and the prices weren't too bad. All the burgers are a ground blend of both pork and beef, FYI. I had the patty melt, which I really liked on the sourdough bread, she had the burger. While good, neither really knocked my socks off. That being said, we did have the sweet potato tater tots, and they were tasty.
Service was OK. Friendly enough. All in all, not a bad place. Next time I might try the blue corn pancakes.
