Joe Jo's Pizza and Gelato

The pizza was good, but we'll do carry-out in the future. Being from the Chicago area, we are picky about our thin crust, but this was nice and crispy, and we liked it better than Wild Tomato. The service was mediocre, as was the ambiance. I think Jo Joe's would be great as a "place your order at the counter" type of establishment. It has more of a fast food feel inside, and that would help with the less than stellar table service. There's a nice little play area next door that's open to the public (between Jo Joe's and the Red Putter). I think there were some tables there, so I guess you could feasibly eat outside if you did carry out and didn't want to take it back to your house/hotel.

Good pizza, not much for atmosphere. We sat down and decided to get our pizza and salad to-go to eat back at the lodge.

They do not serve alcohol (just a side note, not why we decided to not dine-in)

If you are from the Chicago area and are used to Chicago Pizza - this is not the place. First off - there are only 2 items on the menu-  Pizza or Italian beef.
We ordered 2 Pizzas- 1 pepperoni and 1 Cheese and 4 drinks.
The pizza was so thin - I have never had pizza paper thin before - it was not good. The sauce was non existent   - we took the cheese off of the pizza to look for it - there must have been 1 teaspoon on the entire pizza. The cheese - odd.
They cut it up into little cracker sized pieces - which if it tasted good it wouldn't have mattered.
Our waitress could not be bothered to give us our check and we had to get up and ask another for it.
Maybe this is the style up North - but not around here.
