This is a typical dive bar, but boosts it up a bit with the addition of live music. Only being here once & receiving fine service I can't elaborate much more than that. I do wish they served food. I met a friend up there with an empty stomach. Only thing keeping my hunger at bay was booze and they had ONE slim Jim left. Other than that..the owner was there(very friendly), and staff seemed knowledgeable about the beer selection.
Review Source:My absolute favorite bar in Marion. Â They have great local music and great beers. Â The place is decked out with awesome rock and roll posters, they even have a Nick Cave poster hanging up. Â How awesome is that? Â The owner is one of the friendliest guys you will ever meet. Â Hes constantly hanging out and is all about customer service. I have a lot of friends who play in bands and this is one of their favorite places to play. Â The beers are cheap and there is always a good mix of people.
Review Source:A follow up from this years trip, the house ale on tap is wonderful. Â
Schlafly Beer (St Louis) brewed up quite the tasty concoction and it's less than $3 a pint. Â I have always been happy with Schlafly and usually bring a 6 pack of their Oatmeal Stout home as we can't find them in Georgia. Â They don't disappoint with the John Brown Brew.
Friday night is the night to go for sure, live music.
