Jolly Fox Club

This place is your typical bar to go to on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Good drink specials and sometimes when it's not all country music, there's an OK selection.
The downside- gets unbearably hot when the place is packed. I forgot AC existed.  Ok place and not too far from campus.

This was the bar that my mom hung out at when she went to Sam...so of course I had to follow in her footsteps!  If I couldn't get to Houston and wasn't dragged to Shenanigan's again, then I'd come here.  Within walking distance from my apartment - love it!  I was born to live in Chicago b/c I loved things to be in walking distance.  

The beer and spirits are pretty extensive and they cater to the college kids.  By that I mean cheap drink specials!  $1 you call its and all that jazz.  That's when I started to learn about mixed drinks and what I liked and what I didn't.  Although, now I know that I probably didn't like it b/c it was the low end liquors they used!  But hey, I was in college and broke!  I'd like to stop in here again to see it if I'm ever in the neighborhood and shoot some pool w/ a Shiner in hand!
