Judy's BBQ

On a recent road trip through the South came into Hartwell Ga looking for a local cafe (which there were none) but found something even better...Judy's BBQ. Her mobile kitchen and smoker sits in the parking lot of an old vintage filling station that slow smokes your choice of Boston butt pork roast, beef brisket, chicken and ribs with hickory or pecan wood. Served with your choice of sauces. Since moving to the South from the Rockies, I have had my share of good BBQ...Judy's BBQ however is the Holy Grail of Southern BBQ...the best I have had.  A true Southern BBQ wouldn't be complete without it sides...and Judy has some great choices. Baked beans, stew, potato salad and my personal favorite, coleslaw...all homemade!  (Hours Mon-Thurs 10-6, Fri-Sat 10-6:30) Next time you are in or near Hartwell, Ga stop. by hungry because a little bit of money will go along way at Judy's...and don't forget the sweet tea!!!
