So, plain and simple, service sucks a high majority of the time. But the food makes up for it. I stick with take-out since I'm right down the road so I can't give any feed back about delivery service. Absolutely *adore* the pizza. I mean, it's just...perfect. It's not thin crust and it's not deep dish, but it has weight to it. Â
I recommend the buffalo chicken as a first try- messy, but mouth watering.
You figure with such bad service and so many complaints they would get on that.
I have been to this restaurant many times, it is solid and close to home. Â I love the bistro side for a good beer and the chicken gorgonzola or parmesan. Â I also love the pizza side with the kids. Â The girls that work the front are always pleasant and attentive. Â Plus they support the community. Â This says a lot about the ownership.
Review Source:Ok, I felt the need to do a little update for my review. Â We are frequent diners here and over the last several months experienced a noticeable change in the service, as in it became really, really slow. Â When I asked what was going on, we found out that they have had a turnover in staff, both in the kitchen and with waitstaff (which we noticed). Â Anyway, slowly but surely the service has returned to the level to which we had become accustomed and our visit this past Friday went very smoothly. Â Thank goodness, as we do really enjoy having a regular place to go to.
Also, I used Junction to cater an office luncheon last week and they did a superb job. Â The delivery was timely, the food was plentiful, and everyone told me how much they enjoyed the meal. Â And the price was very reasonable. Thanks, Junction, for making me look like a hero at the office!
After having several bad experiences here in the past, my husband and I decided to give Junction another try. Â What a mistake! Â We went last night - a Wednesday, the place was 1/2 empty. Â We ordered a simple meal - nothing fancy and waited for 45 minutes until we got up and walked out. Â Not sure if any one noticed or cared. Â We had asked a couple of times what the staus was with our meals and was told they were "really busy in the kitchen". Â What??? Â I still can't believe we sat there for 45 minutes!
Went up the street to another restaurant and was served by 10 minutes of our order.
In the past, not once, but twice, the waitresses had forgotten to place one or both of our orders. Â On one of those occasions, my husband received his meal with the waitress placing it in front of him and walking off - I thought to get mine. Â When she didn't return, I called her over and she said that she had forgotten to place my order. Â I was offered a salad in its place. Â
Just forget about this place. Â It's a disaster.
Junction is the place so close to being terrific but failing terribly in so many aspects. There are so many places to begin. Being from the area, we have been to Junction quite a few times. While the food proves to be decent, the service has proved to be such a failure that that might be the sole reason we nevergo back. Â As a party of two, we had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be approached for drinks. Â Now this restaraunt is not that big, and each waitress is only responsible for maybe 4 tables. If you go on a Sunday, you often during the school year will find that for charity, young groups will be hosting tables and their tips will go to charity. Unfortunately, when I am paying $15 a meal, regardless of the cause I want great service, not a meal that takes 35-45 minutes to come out, comes out partially cold, and the service is clueless. Â Back to the point, this still happened last weekend with the "regular" staff on hand. What appeared to be the owner was publically scolding employees (whether they deserved it or not you don't yell at employees in front of the customer.) It was just a trainwreck. Thank goodness it was only 2 of us and we were in and out in 95 minutes (amazing considered no apps and no desserts I know.) The party of 3 seated 5 minutes after us was still waiting on their meal when we left. Their wait for food must have been roughly 75 minutes by the time the order went in.
Its unfortunate, this could be such a hidden gem for NK, but seems the only time it holds up to that standard is when the place is empty and you get sole attention.
Yesterday we went to Boston for the day from the Wickford Junction Station nearby. Â When we returned we went to Junction Trattoria for dinner. Â The atmosphere, wine and service were fine (all better than acceptable). Â I had Veal Parmesan and my wife had Chicken Parmesan. Â Although the tomato sauce had fresh chopped basil (nice touch) the sauce itself left a lot to be desired. Â It tasted like it came from an "off the shelf" jar or can. Â Too bad, because it could have been much better with little effort. Â My veal itself was excellent, but because of the sauce, it left much to be desired. Â My wife felt the same way. Â If we return, we'll try the pizza before we give up.
Review Source:This is one my family's favorite restaurants. Â In fact, my kids call it the "Oil Restaurant" based on the olive oil and bread delivered during every visit. Â We come here often due to its pizza selections, delicious entrees such as the Chicken Martini and Penne Vodka with blackened chicken, plus more! Â The wait staff is fantastic. Â The manager, Sandy, Â visits all of her guests and treats them like old friends. Â The entire staff is always friendly, timely and attentive to our needs. Â And tonight, Â we decided to celebrate Valentine's Day as a family - what a fantastic Valentine's Day special. Â THANK YOU! Â In today's world of chain restaurants and impersonal service - Sandy and team definitely make you feel welcome and you walk out completely satisfied!
Review Source:EXCELLENT for lunch.
It is one of those small, off the beaten path, in a strip mall, if you don't know it you won't go there kind of place with really good food, very good service and a really good atmosphere.
A bit on the pricey side for lunch but they do make a really good one. Yesterday got the Chicken Fancaise with a side salad (which was damn big in its own right) and a steak, mushroom, cheese, carmelized onion wrap (yeah, that was mine and it rocked). I love how they put everything in the wrap then grill it so it stays together.
I had lunch here with the wife and our three young children. The white bean onion and sage soup was the best soup we have ever had. The pizza was great.( Big slices). I had the broccoli and chicken with linguini, Excellent. We are from Massachusetts and did a yelp search to find this restaurant. The server was extremely nice. The beers are resonably priced. I wish I could move this place near our house. oh well.
Review Source:I came here with a couple of friends and we weren't sure what we were in the mood for so we all split a few things. Â We got Pizza, Pasta with Pink vodka and shrimp (I am very picky with my pink vodka sauce by the way and this was amazing!) Â We also got a prosciutto and cheese appetizer that was to die for! Â The prosciutto was the best I have ever tasted! Â So fresh and tasty! Â And the bread, I could eat everyday for a month, it was so delicious!! Not only was I extremely pleased with the food but the service was wonderful. Â Since then my friends and I have been back twice and we are making it a regular thing! Â I would recommend this restaurant to everyone!
