It was really, really hot... so we probably should have tried sitting outside. It was just too hot to try and enjoy your drink and food. We ended up going inside and the owner was wonderful in letting us move. The food was really good, but it was the atmosphere that was just OK for me. I found the crowd to be a lot older than what I was expecting-- mullets were back in season. Some of the crowds of people were just too much-- like placing their drinks down on our table while encroaching on our space. I'd like to try this place again as it's really beautiful and has the potential for being a really great night out.
Review Source:I had heard some good things about Rok so I wanted to check it out with a group of friends. I had to give Rok only 1 star because of the poor food quality and mediocre service. I ordered fried calamari and stuffed shells which were both not very good and very small servings sizes. For dinner we ordered a variety of pizza, burgers, entrees and everyone said their food was just ok or poor. Will not be returning.
Review Source:First impression of the Rok Bar is that it is very loud. But not saying it's bad, just be prepared to yell into the ears of your fellow friends if you want talk them. The atmosphere is very Rock and Roll. Indeed, my party was sitting in a semi private room that is Elvis themed to the 9's. They even have a projector showing vintage Elvis performances during his prime.
I had some of the appetizers and they were pretty good. They had typical chicken wings and they had something pretty good which was the Wasabi Chips. It had a tiny kick of wasabi which made it delish.
Service was decent in that it was a busy night. All in all I would go back if I want to enjoy more of the atmosphere which is definitely unique.
