Held my daughter's wedding reception here. We booked the venue soon after it changed hands. Were told the new owner would honor prices from Sully's. Ask numerous times if there were any changes and was told no. 3 weeks before wedding went in to go over menu, set up etc. Told then that prices went up 2.00 per person. Didn't like it but agreed to pay 1.00 more. Also told that the roasted chicken we wanted wasn't available. Then agreed to roasted chicken off the regular menu. Again went in on the monday before the event and again went over everything including the roasted chicken.  He called the next day looking  to serve 1/4 chicken as in legs and thighs for the same price.  Told him absolutely not.  Hung up after his wife was talking in the background. Said nevermind I shouldn't have called. Morning of the wedding he arrive 1.5 hours late to let us in to decorate. Tables weren't moved to proper agreed upon set up. We had to move all the tables and chairs, remove old linens (he said if they weren't dirty to leave them.  Ah no way) and decorate and put fresh tablecloths on. Night of wedding 1/2 of the guest that wanted chicken were served legs and thighs, dumped 1/2 of keg down drain cause they couldn't figure out the co2 pump. Didn't tell us, charged our guests when it was supposed to be free. Didn't have the cake buffet set up by end of meal, there was never any coffee which was supposed to be supplied. Got sarcastic and nasty when confronted about the beer being dumped. Hotter than hell. 2 waitresses for the whole venue, couldn't get water, wine or tables bussed. Just a ridiculous expierence from beginning to end.  Run in the opposite direction. Put down 500.00 on a 600.00 venue charge. Was told not to worry about the other 100.00 and instead of getting 300.00 back we would get 200.00 back. Haven't received that back either. Sent him a letter and never responded. Lays blame for everything on us. Very Unprofessional and a real idiot.
Review Source:My wife and I went for lunch a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Â Owned by the former owners of Groucho's, the food was well prepared and filling, with portions that fit perfectly with the time of day (lunch as opposed to dinner).
The restaurant has a warm, relaxing atmosphere that makes it easy to have a quiet, conversation-filled meal.
If you are looking for a pub-type meal, the upstairs is home to the Freight House Pub and offers many of the same menu items but in a more relaxed setting.
I went with a couple of friends for lunch today. Â We each different sandwiches and tried a couple of their soups and it all tasted great! Â I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the food. Â The atmosphere is nice and cozy. Â We commented that it would be the perfect place to meet again for lunch, an after-work drink, or an intimate dinner. Â This place really seems to have it all. Â There is also the "Freight House Pub" upstairs that is more of a casual, bar atmosphere (review on that to come later) with TVs, pool table, and karaoke on Thursday night with "Nashville" Mike Haskins.
4 STARS! Â And I'm definitely planning on returning! Â This place is a hidden gem...at least for now. Â ;-)
