Karen & Jaspers Bar & Bistro

We were deceived by the sign out front stating Homemade Italian and figured we would give it a try.  It was by far the worst Italian food I have ever had.  They are way overpriced and the food is way below par.  The lasagna had barely any cheese in it and the meatballs were mushy.  The alfredo sauce was tasteless.  They charge close to $1 for crumbly blue cheese on your salad and you can't even find it, let alone taste it.  The restaurant wasn't even busy when we got there and yet the waitress couldn't remember to bring us our salad dressing when she brought the salad out and then completely forgot our appetizer.  They seem to rely on their bar crowd.

More a bar than a restaurant. Menu is very expensive as if it were a five star restaurant but they focus more on the bar atmosphere...which ironically is smaller than the restaurant. Definitely not a family friendly place.

K&J is one of the reasons I bought my house. The food is great. I will vouch from most of their menu as I've been coming here for years now.
Get one of the Torpedos for lunch. Personal favorite is the veal.
Any of the pasta dishes are tasty and get the Hot Antipasto if it's on the special board.
