Just finishing up our first dinner here and can certainly say that we will be back. The Hog Wings are drop off the bone delicious! We coupled that with Scotch Eggs to start and followed with our entrees. I had the Bangers and Mash, while my wife went for a  Reuben sandwich, which was fresh and succulent. It was served with fresh cut fries. My Bangers and Mash was delicious. However, the mash potatoes were a bit cold and stiff. The saving grace for that was that the gravy was truly savory. My son went for the Gaelic Broiled Chicken, which he described this way... "it went betwixt me lips in a rather magical fashion."

For dessert we shared a wonderful version of a spicy bread puddling.

Our server, Michael was attentive to our every need. We even had the opportunity to meet one of the owners, Anne  Kavanagh. To top this experience off we were also treated to some great live entertainment.

Many thanks to all the good people at Kavanaugh's for a pleasant dining experience!.

First off, was expecting more of a bar atmosphere before entering but was pleasantly surprised by the interior and decor.  The place had a friendly, actual pub-like feel.  The food was excellent; my wife said it was the best irish stew she had ever had.  I was also glad to see they serve imperial pints.  The wait staff was attentive and very friendly.  This place is a welcome addition to the Mt Juliet area, and we will definitely be going back.

We just stopped in for a beer. We got the Black and Tan..you know your typical Irish beer. Well It was good because they used Harp instead of Bass. It just gave it a funky taste

Kavanagh's was great! My family went for dinner on a Saturday night and our service, food and experience were great! The server made us aware of any time issues that could arise due to a large party that was there. It was a great experience and if you're going to get beer - get a Guinness! It was the perfect pour!

I ate here Sunday afternoon (5/19/13).  I wasn't overly impressed by any means.  The food was so-so.  The waitress couldn't even correctly tell me what was on the sandwich before I ordered it.  The atmosphere is weird inside, with the blinds on the front windows closed making it dark with no natural light.  It took a while to get a refill on my drink (after the waitress looked at it and me twice) before I finally just asked for her to fill it back up.  I don't ask much from wait staff, just keep my drink full!  Nobody likes to eat with nothing to drink.  Anyway, I tried it, done with it.

It's about time Mt Juliet had live music and a good pint !!!  I was very impressed with the food and the service ! I read the other reviews and can't quite figure out what they're talking about ?  Must have been opening night or insanely busy, because my experience was incredible ! So good ! Try the Irish Stew ! A good pint and live music, just what Mt Juliet needed !

We attended the soft opening and was happy for it. Understandably the food was a little slow to the table, they were working out the quirks. The food was good... I ahd the Bangers and Mash, and my husband had the Shepard's pie (which was in a HUGE baked potato). They were both really good. The cole slaw needs a little work, really bland.

Steel tip dart boards for the gamers out there, and I believe they have leagues. Great Bar, can't wait until they serve alcohol.

Waitstaff was friendly, the beer was cold, and the atmosphere was "Pubby", which is always a plus.

Since we work so close... we'll be back I'm sure and I hear Irish Stew is on the Full menu, so, I can't wait to try it out!
