We discovered this little gem on a road trip to stock up on our favorite New Glarus Beer. Â We crossed just beyond the Cheddar Curtain and found Kelly's Pub.
Kelly's Pub is a friendly, comfortable, rural pub & grill that is a perfect spot to wet your whistle and grab a bite. Â Friendly customers and folks behind the bar make you feel right at home even if you are a first timer. Â What sets Kelly's apart from other country taverns is the food. Â My wife and I ordered the lake perch dinner. Â I ordered them with potato pancakes and the wife had the crinkle-cut fries. Â The fish was perfectly prepared with a light, puffy batter. Â The potato pancakes were A-OK and not the slightest greasy. Â Even the cole slaw was crisp, fresh and had a nice peppery flavor. Â The icing on the cake is Spotted Cow on tap - Yeah!
To sum it up, Kelly's has great food, friendly atmosphere and service, and great prices. Â Kelly's Pub is a great excuse for a road trip. Â We'll be back.
Have been here multiple times and have enjoyed the dining area and the bar on different trips. Â This place is very friendly and I have yet to have something to eat that wasn't good.
Their burgers are very good. Â These are highly recommended. Â My most recent trip my friend and I had the broasted chicken and potatoes. Â Both of these were very good. Â The chicken serving was huge and hot. Â We went on a weeknight and we were the only ones there using the dining area. Â We still were waited on in a timely manner and had the space to ourselves which was kind of nice. Â
This is a great place to grab some dinner and I will definitely continue to visit!
Casual and very friendly place to go for a drink and dinner. Â Went on a Friday night to try their fish fry. Â Ended up instead having the broasted chicken with broasted potatoes. Â Delish!
Lots of friendly people and the owner came by to check how we were enjoying the food a couple of times.
Gotta get back to this place.
