"Do you want to go to a nicer bar, or a dive bar?" Â he asked. Â Silly brother.
4 stars because I LOVE a good dive bar, and Kenny's fits that bill. Â And they've got a shuffleboard and pool tables to boot. Â I"m all about the bar games. Â This visit, my brother and I did not play any games, though. Â When I visit, we inevitably have to hit the store for dinner makings, so we hit Kenny's on our way (it's not on the way) and leave the kiddos at home w/ auntie. Â
Kenny was pouring a new gin and he graciously poured us each one to see how we liked it - gratis! Â Barnett's Gin - not top shelf, but decent enough for well. Â
Kenny's is a comfortable bar, not too dark, not too bright, and plenty of space inside and out. Â And Kenny himself is a really nice guy.
Not one of my favorite spots..will do in a pinch. Â Last couple of times I have been in it just plain smelled. Â I understand a working mans bar, but this just smelled like " I need a good cleaning." Â The crowd was not overly friendly, which is fine, but bordering on surly. Â I would like to try the evening crowd, seems like a biker friendly place and I need to try their menu out. Â We will give them one more shot.
