Woodland Opera House Theater

The Woodland Opera House, led by Jeff Kean, is a year round community theatre producing both plays and musicals. They are a very supportive group and work hard to bring entertainment to Woodland. When not in use by the theatre company, the venue books concerts and other special events. Tip : Grab dinner at the Burger Saloon down the street before seeing a show!

Theater itself is nice and feels very authentic. The upper balcony area is very steep and hard to navigate. Someone fell at the show I attended. The backs of the seats on the balcony level are horrible if your older than 6. The view is great from up there but it definitely feels outdated and dangerous. The main auditorium, lighting, sound are all superb and it was easy to get a ticket. The staff was friendly and overall a nice experience. When you buy your tix...never go to the balcony level.

What a cool historic venue.  Saw the Nickel Slots rock this very cool old opera house, great sound and lighting, great stage.  More local bands should take advantage of this venue.  I also heard it was haunted.  I think I might have seen the ghost of Kenny Franklin Valentine dancing in the balcony during The Devils Chain Gang.

I would love to see another event at this cool venue.
