So, we went to this place with my family and friends. We were 10 in all, on one of their busier nights...It was a long wait. We sat down got our drinks and ordered our food: Their "famous wings" weren't all that. Great soups and salads, and their burgers were pretty good. I would definitely go back.

The food is ok, perfectly acceptable although uninspired. The atmosphere is absolutely terrible mainly because of the lighting. I go there occasionally but am amazed every time that they don't do something about it.

Enjoyed the "Kevin's burger". Very nicely done and loved the slightly toasted bun and sweet potato fries.
Had the Longtrail and Switchback brews, both of which were good, too.
Next time in back, I'll have to try some dessert as some Yelpers suggest there are some good options.

We both had the turkey rubin, which was good.  Service was excellent.  Tables are packed in kind of tightly.

Probably the best burger that I have ever had: the Kevin's burger. Excellent service. Gracious staff. All around a great dining experience.

Wait, when did the name change? This place was always North B.'s weirdest named spot: Kevin's at Mike's Place III. Huh? Yeah.

Weird name aside, the food is damn good. And the burgers are so good there's no need to look elsewhere on the menu (those are not the dinners you're looking for (said in your best Obi Wan voice).

K loves this place. Loves. And whenever we're in Bennington he stops in. I like the bar for a few beers - there's always a good mix of regulars (townies, SVC and Bennington College kids*), people in town for art/performance/whatever, tourists. But the crowd is never obnoxious.

The dining room is family friendly but there's always a wait during prime time so either come a little early or late, or go have a drink in the bar first.

My family and I found Kevin's around 4:00 on Superbowl Sunday on our way home from a weekend of skiing at Stratton.  The food was excellent (homemade chili rocks!) and the staff could not have been nicer.  My two little nephews (ages 6 and 8) bonded with our waitress and a couple other staff folks who were preparing for a Superbowl party.  The vibe in this restaurant is very homey and familiar.  We can't wait to return!!!!

We went there the two nights we were in the area. No kidding, it is like walking  on to the CHEERS set. Very friendly staff and customers. Wonderful local beers. Standard creative menu with nightly specials. Everything we had was very good and the portions were more than generous. If you are in Bennington, you must go to Kevin's.

Awesome place with the best food. You will wait but it's worth it! Next time I'm there I'll go back.

Burgers as juicy as an advertisement and Arctic cold beer. Three different ball games playing on the flat screens. Any questions?

We had the chili, tuna melt, and a BLT. Everything was great. The chili has a great kick. Wonderfully friendly place to stop at during a long trip. Super cheap, too!

What a great spot. Stayed in Bennington because Saratoga hotels too expensive (race season).  Found the restaurant on Yelp! gave it a try.
Great bar. All locals. Very friendly. Great draught beer selection. Not huge but excellent options. Try the Battenkill Ale. Brewed in Bennington. Delicious!  Had the Moon Burger. Mushrooms and mozzarella. A 1/2 pound of sheer delight. Get the side of onion rings. Crispy not greasy.
Could it get any better? Yes!  We watched the perennial women's volleyball winners win gold.
    Can't wait to go back.

Kevin's is a Bennington icon.  Fantastic bar, great owners and staff (yes..there is a Kevin and he actually works there with his wife Lindy).  This is the quintessential New England bar.  Sports bar, restaurant, meeting place.  It's also on several Harley Poker Run trips so you may run into one of them on the weekend, but they are always great people to meet and be around.  Tops!!!!

Caesar salad was served with tomatoes. Dressing consisted of vinegar , salad was the coated withe grated Parmesan. Very disappointing. Only good thing with the meal was the beer and the Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

Wait staff very friendly, but lack attention.

I have been going to this restaurant for years and years with my parents (who go more frequently than I do.)   The service is great; friendly and make their regulars feel like family.   When I come home to visit my parents we go here and I always get the same thing, Mike's Steak!   I don't know what the marinate is but it's AMAZING.  The steak is always cooked to your liking with great veggies and a potato.    If you're in the area, stop by!

We live nearby and drop in for lunch and dinner many times a year.  Over the literally hundreds of meals we've had at Kevin's, we've never had a bad one!  Our favorites are:  Delmonico Steak, Mike's Famous Marinated Steak, Kevin's Burger, Marinated Pork Chops, Penné Alfredo, Veal or Chicken Parmesan... (some are specials).  Great appetizers, like the Popcorn Shrimp, Jalapeno Poppers and Clam Steamers with Jalapenos.

It's our #1 spot to go for dinner (or takeout), and they have great entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays, too!

Kevin, Lindy and the entire staff are awesome people, too!

In my brief experience this is one of the most welcoming places in the Bennington area...  not only that, but a pretty wide variety of good food.  The fish and chips is among the best I've had anywhere.  It is obviously popular , and with good reason.  And, speaking of reason, it is most reasonable.

It's not very often you go to a restaurant where the owner greets you and your family with a warm welcome and great food...  This is one of those occasions.  The burger was one of the best I've had - thick, juicy, and cooked to perfection.  The kids were happy and stuffed. Packers fans welcome!!!!

Based on the other Jeff K's review of the BLT that's what I got when a bunch of us from The Oldcastle Theatre went there recently (the tavern side).  I was a visiting designer, so it was new to me, but everyone who works there regularly were known by name by the staff.  We closed the place, but didn't feel like we were being thrown out.

The BLT was indeed one of the best I've had -- hard to quantify why, as a BLT is pretty basic, but the bacon was rather heavenly and it was assembled with a good ratio of B to L to T... and the mayo was just right too.  Really spectacular.

Another place I look forward to revisiting the next time I am in the area...

Food is fresh,  well prepared and plentiful. Extremely popular weekend dinner,  bar and entertainment place. If you don't get there early on Saturday you will have quite a wait. Prices are excellent.  Wait staff is friendly and efficient. A wonderful place for a casual lunch or dinner. Marvelous Hamburgers and some of the specials rival gourmet venues. In the winter, the hearty soups will fill and warm you.  This place is a local legend and the food, comraderie, full bar and attentive wait staff certainly deserve this distinction.

Saw the review for this place and my wife and I drove out to try it.  First the  service was wonderful.  The lady that waited on us was such a sweet person and so efficient.  My wife had the shrimp and clam dish over angel hair and loved it.  I had the cajun flounder and that too was great.  The bread rolls were kind of soft and pale but the crisp crackers that came with them were good.  Overall I would return.  The prices aren't bad for what you get.  Nice country atmosphere also.

Great service, great amazing food from the wings to the burgers to the best damn BLT I have ever tasted!
This is a detour! Visit Kevin's!

This place is fucking AWESOME! The flounder was so tasty.

Make  sure you go to the main St in NORTH Bennington.

The towniest of townie restaurants, and in the best way possible. The phrase the restaurant uses to describe itself, "where the locals go," is true--observe the denizens of North Bennington waiting for a table from around 5 PM on, every day of the week.

The food at Kevin's is pretty standard American bar/grill food; I'd disagree with Emen's characterization of "upscale American." I mean, you come here to get cheeseburgers and a catcher's mitt-sized chicken parm, not nouvelle cuisine. The portions are huge, the prices are reasonable, and the waitresses (I can say that because they're all ladies) are the funniest and sweetest ever. The owners, Kevin and Lindy, are very present in the day-to-day of Kevin's, and if you eat here enough, you become a welcomed part of the general milieu.

Kevin's doesn't take reservations (except for Valentine's Day, I think). Weekend evenings are a zoo, especially in the summer; if you don't want to wait 45 minutes for a table, show up at 9 or later. The dining room isn't huge, so big groups can take some adjusting (even though it seems like everyone eating at Kevin's is in a big group). The Friday night bands will always play "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Margaritaville," the cheeseburgers will always be delicious and drippy, the butter will always be Cabot. Kevin's will always be Kevin's, which is another way of saying "the best thing about North Bennington."

This is the GO-TO place! Every time I've eaten at Kevin's at Mike's Place, it has been excellent. Prices seem quite reasonable, considering quality. Personally, I would describe the cuisine as "upscale American". The only down-side is that it can be quite a wait to get in. Last I knew they would not take reservations, which certainly is a problem. However this place still has to get five stars. Can't be beat in this area. Or anywhere, frankly.

Fantastic burgers and sweet potato fries, and friendly, efficient service is the name of the game here.  Plus, they have a peppermint pattie vending machine in the waiting area! What could be better?

After a busy day, I suggested we pick up burgers for take out.  Thinking it would be like Carls or better if we were lucky.  So my daughter takes care of the phone ordering and we go to pick up our food.  Walking in I saw a very crowded, happy place and WOW... the food looked great & smelled even better. Just walking through to the bar to pickup our order & pay, I saw so many things I would have enjoyed.  Next time, if there is one, I want to go eat out here.

By the way, the burgers & sweet potato fries were terrific.

The best food and drink in the Bennington area and beyond.  I started going to this place when TJ owned it. Tj moved on and the chef Kevin opened his own place...or something like that. Fried Fantail Gulf Shrimp with Sweet Potato Fries. For a drink order the Cocaine Lady. Great jukebox in the bar, sometimes live acoustic music (local), that is surprisingly good.  The bar area is the place to hang out, order your food, and  have drinks. Not to sound like a cheeseball, but this place is a bit like Cheers.
