    Over priced and bad management

The Keys looks like a great waterfront restaurant.  Unfortunately they suffer from an uninspired menu, ok drinks, and an apparently less than stellar staff.

I ordered a Dark and Stormy which was almost good.  Just a little too watery.

Then after failing to find anything on the entrée menu that I wanted to try, I attempted to get the "key lime cookies with coconut sorbet".  This ended up being rather a disaster.  First, they topped it with vanilla ice cream.  They were out of the sorbet and just decided to send it out with ice cream without even asking.  I'm lactose intolerant, so that's not a viable option for me.  Unfortunately they did not have any other options that I could try. The cookies were dry and sugary without even a hint of  key lime, which seemed strange.  They did knock half off the dessert, which is something, I guess.

Good for: Drinking a bottled beer while looking out over the harbor.

    Bad for: Anything else.

I am giving them an extra "benefit of the doubt" star since I didn't actually eat a meal there, only dessert.

Tortugas - one of restaurants at The Keys.  Have eaten twice there for breakfast.  View is excellent.  I enjoy the new decor also.  Food was not very good.  Lobster Benedict had reheated lobster, rubbery - would not recommend.  Shrimp and grits - shelled (well, most of them) shrimp on bed of cheesy grits.  Grits were lukewarm and congealed (not cooked fresh).
May come back here for coffee and the view, but will not likely not buy food.

Good service, great breakfast. We loved sitting on the deck over the water. Try the red velvet french toast! It's amaz!

Great view! Outdoor dining on the marina with views of the lake. I had the Cuban sandwich, which was actually fantastic! Loaded with meat and just the right amount of cheese, all on a fresh, soft roll with just enough crust to be chewy. And it was just salty enough for taste. Fries were also nicely done. I tried one of the signature cocktails (the name of which I can't recall at the moment). It was a gin drink with St. Germain elderflower and a hint of mint... light, refreshing and DELISH. (And I'm pretty picky about my cocktails). This place is nothing fancy, the cocktail garnish is rather low-grade, and there are high-octane daiquiris swirling behind the bar, but the food was impressive and I was surprised at how friendly the servers were... Allison was very helpful and attentive.  Good times after a relaxing ferry ride!

The food was good, the frozen drinks delicious, and the atmosphere and dining experience was fabulous.
