KFC

I created a Yelp account-specifically because of such a shoddy 3 visits that we experienced at the Republic KFC.

They were "out" of crispy chicken on the first visit (a "chicken" place....out of chicken).

We decided to go through the drive thru a few weeks later.  They told my wife (with our two kids) to pull forward and it took over 25 minutes to get us our order (a family bucket of chicken and sides).  

Then, we went back (because we are obviously glutton's for punishment) and got half raw chicken (we could barely find 2 pieces that were edible out of 8).

The floor is greasy, the buffet looks really not appealing, and it's a disappointment that folks in Republic are forced to drive into Springfield to get decent edible treatment and chicken.  

Service is lacksidasical.  They seem to stare at one another as if someone confused them by asking for extra honey for the biscuits.

Needless to say....with Hyvee opening (their chicken is edible), we won't be ever stepping foot back in the Republic KFC.  I'd never recommend it to anyone that is looking for a quick meal for your kids.....nor to anyone that wants to eat chicken and sides.

Just awful (I can't stress this enough).  

My wife and I were tempted to boycott all KFC's....but tried the one on Kansas and Battlefield and it was 1000% better.  

Perhaps it's the "Long John Silver/KFC" concept.......? Whatever it is....it's not good.

Wow... The image of the family meal has left this chain!  I remember when a family could go to KFC and pick up A "bucket of chicken" and some sides... Take it home and have a family meal with out breaking the bank!   I guess that is part of "Days gone by" now.

Family Friendly:  With these prices defiantly not.  I would have to buy 2 kids meals just to get enough food for my son to eat.  Son left saying "I want more lunch after I finish my lunch"
 
Family Budget Friendly:  Alas no!  Take that same $20 and go to McDonald's or someplace like that or better yet get a chicken dinner from the local supermarket for around $15 and get a desert to boot.

Overall I was very disappointed with my experience at this chain.
