Second time we enjoyed the outdoor dining at this Main Street pub. The burger combinations are interesting, delicious--we have tried four of them--and  stacked high.  The special selection chicken wrap is full of fresh vegetables, apples, and cheese. The service is very friendly and accommodating. We met a young man from Ireland who is here for his second year and brought along his girlfriend this summer. The owner, Shawn, stopped by to say hello and inquire about our dinner impressions.
With so many places to choose from in downtown Hyannis, this quaint pub stands out with great food, service, accessibility, and personal attention from the entire staff.

Its sad at best if K&R's burger is the best on the cape. My son ordered a water and it was dirty. Atmosphere is the best thing going for this pub...

We stumbled into this obviously tourist friendly spot while sight seeing in Hyannis. We were looking for a light lunch and opted to split a burger. We got a burger with cheese and caramelized onions. It was very good. The onions were perfectly caramelized. The burger was juicy and flavorful. I wasn't crazy about the French fries, but they were passable. The service was good, and we had a lovely table outside. I can't say how the other dishes were, but the burger was good. If you are looking for a safe bet in Hyannis for a burger, Kian n' Rylee's is a safe bet.

    Location, Location... you get it

Perfect spot on a hot night to grab a drink outside.  Service was outstanding, food well below average (how do you screw up chicken fingers, folks).  But fun to sit and watch the tourists walk by.

Stick with the burgers. Salads were dirty and two day old cut vegetables.

Located on Main Street in Hyannis, Kian & Rylee's is represents one of the new cafe type restaurants that are now sprinkled up and down this street.

We enjoyed their outdoor seating which offered a much needed shade on this hot summer day. They had a small selection of Cape Cod Beer micro-brews (liked the IPA) as well as a full bar inside.

There was a huge selection of burgers as well as great sandwiches, grilled wraps, and panini's that were reasonably priced (although you do have to pay extra $ to have fries with your sandwich as they come standard with Cape Cod Potatoes Chips).

One observation worth noting is that apparently Hyannis now has its own Duck Boat tourist trap ride which was quite annoying as it passed by the Kian & Rylee's twice while we were seated outside.

This place is clearly a tourist trap catering to tourists on Main St Hyannis who just don't know any better. Well, I'm a local and now I know better than to ever give this place my money again.
We ordered lunch for my office, and while they answered the phone at 11;15 they woulnt take our order until 11;30. ?? We actually attempted to order the day before and they wouldn't take it because "our kitchen would forget to make it for you the next day"  We regularly hav lunch meetings (2-4 per week) and always call in the order the day before with no problems that way we can get each particpants order in and not have to interrupt their business just before the meeting itself.

Now on to the food, I ordered the "lobstrosity" served on a torpedo roll for $23.00!! With a name like that and competion all around one might think this could compare to any one of 1/2 dozen places that really give you value (see The Raw Bar) the amount of (warm, mayonays-ie) lobster could have easily been fit into the tradfitional New England Style Hotdog Roll...with room to spare, but instead was lost in a huge, stale, soggy sub roll.  Now on to the clam strip and scallop plate my friend ordered, If you are interested in filling up on burnt strips of batter then order this but if you actually want some clam in your meal PLEASE EAT elsewhere. Ok, on to the "Best Burgers" on Cape Cod. When someone orders grilled onions on their medium rare burger, then grill the onions and get the meat temperature correct. I could go on but I've wated enough of my time today on this place.

If these comments arent enough to steer you elsewhere, then maybe this will,  They over Charged us!

    Nuff Said.

Just not worth the money!  The fish n chips was over priced and not tasty at all and the fries were NASTY!  My advice is drive/walk on by to a better place!

Came here before seeing a show at the melody tent. It was one of the few places we found with no wait on a saturday night (right after we were seated a line formed so i think we just got lucky).  we all had cocktails and they were HUGE. Its not often you find mixed drinks in a pint glass. The menu wasnt that impressive but as long as you are happy with a burger/sandwhich you will be fine. Our waitress was very nice, unfortunately our food took FOREVER which was surley the kitchens fault not hers. When the food finially arrived it was ok- the portions were enourmous. Id go back again if the bbc had a wait.

I've been a patron of Kian n Rylee's for the past two summers. This place has great burgers, awesome seafood and a pretty good beer selection (and I'm a beer snob). The owners are really nice, always recognize me and give me a smile/wave. The waitstaff is pretty attentive and personable, usually can get a good laugh out of me. I've had a couple of dates there, the atmosphere is very conducive to have a good conversation/time. Highly recommend it! Try the Bistro burger!!!!

Ok, 21 different burgers, check.  Outdoor patio, check. Midscale pub fare, check. Across from Katie's Ice Cream and down the street from the carousel. Check.
A decent meal, should be three or three and half stars.

    However...

No soap, paper towels or toilet paper in Men's bathroom.  Told my server politely, went back in 45 minutes, they didn't service. The bathroom.  This was a Tuesday night @ 20% capacity.   Unacceptable.  I can only imagine what the wait staff, cooks and bartenders used to wash themselves after using the bathroom.  Gross.

Great beer and fantastic salad and burger. Patio was really enjoyable!

We went twice for the clam chowder, it is that good. Their clam strips (and most of their fried seafood goodies) aren't as crunchy as i like my fried food to be, but the clams themselves were delicious!

We came here on a Tuesday afternoon in August and ended up eating inside because the outdoor tables were full. The wait staff was good--not outstanding, but also nothing to complain about--which is actually pretty good.
The menu consists of a wide and interesting variety of burgers and sandwiches. I got the Bistro burger with cheddar, bacon, and granny smith apple slices, which was very good. The rest of the family was also happy with their food.
My only complaint was the wait time. It's a small place and the inside was empty except for us, but it took a long time for the food to come. Even the kids were complaining and asking what was taking so long.
The only other piece of advice is that if you don't like country music, don't sit inside. It was a little too loud and it was driving most of us crazy by the end of our meal.

We dined here on June 27, 2010 and decided on this restaurant due to their menu, prices and great outdoor seating area. The wait staff is very attentive and friendly here.

It seemed to be a popular restaurant for others also and kept a steady flow of traffic while we were there. I ordered a mushroom burger and my partner ordered a buffalo chicken wrap sandwich. My burger was delicious! My partner wasn't very impressed with his wrap, saying it tasted alright but wasn't what he expected. I was unhappy about my french fries, and found them to be a bit cold and not thoroughly cooked. It's sad to say but how can anyone mess up french fries?

Overall, it's an OK restaurant, the patio dining is very inviting and I think that's what makes most people patronize this establishment. There are too many other choices on Main Street for better meals, but again, this one is reasonably priced so just be aware you always do get what you pay for.
