King Gyros

They've remodeled the outside, but not the food...phew!  I love this place.  It's not crazy fast, but its fresh made to order, which is soooo much better.  The gyro plate is enough for 2 people, just order an extra pita.  The Greek Salad is big, even the small... heavily dressed too, so dressing on the side is a must.  They do Chicago dogs the RIGHT way with the bright lime green relish (super cheap too).  The rib tips are always tender and the dinner is big!  It's not a fancy sit down restaurant, it's an old converted Taco Bell or Dairy Queen, it's been there so long now I can't remember.  The family that runs it are soooo nice, polite, and attentive.  Dang it, now I'm hungry!  Oh, my mom likes their chicken fingers, and she doesn't eat much of anything.

King Gyros is a great little place to grab a good gyro. You can watch them cut the meat off of the spit as they prepare your meal. The meat is well seasoned, crispy, never dry and always piping hot. The onions are well seasoned and the tzatziki is thick, rich, and clings to the meat. My biggest complaint is that the pitas get overdone and don't soak up all the juices which makes for an even bigger mess than a gyro already is. The menu is pretty substantial for such a small place and I have always had good luck with the rib tips, gyro plate and Chicago dogs. If you want to go to a place that has good food, fast service and a lot of variety then King Gyros is worth a visit.
