The Kitchen At Rock Hall

There are not many places around to get a good sit down breakfast, but the Kitchen @ Rock Hall fits the bill! Absolutely the best french toast I've ever eaten. Coffee & Mimosas to compliment! Very cozy atmosphere, with delightful waitresses and owners that stop by your table to make sure you are happy. Cannot wait to go back!

The Kitchen is adorable and I've always been dying to go but we haven't had the foresight to make reservations far enough in advance.  I think the place totals about 12 tables- making for a very cozy experience.  The chef/owner is literally directly behind the cash register making up your delish grub.

As others have mentioned, the crab dip was to die for.  But, I think the fried oysters were better.  I got scallops that were seared and served over risotto.  I wasn't crazy about the risotto but the scallops were awesome.  Other notably good things from fellow diners- the rock fish and the lamb shank.  

I'd venture to say this is probably the best meal you can get in Rock Hall and probably for many miles of cornfields.  It's not cheap, but hey, you're paying for the love and quality that you can see going into your dinner behind the counter and that's definitely worth it.

TINY little place, but good food.  GREAT crab dip, tasty oyster po boy with tomato remoulade, though the breading was a little dry.  Was a nice find for lunch!
