I was not going to waste my time but I feel compelled to. Just stopped in to have a quick lunch on the recommendation of a customer. Nonchalant hostess seated me fairly quickly with a menu. The menu was limited..no problem. Â I ordered shrimp and egg foo young. Not what I would usually order, but the vibe was this is a safe order. Very dated place, but you never know! I was brought warm Lipton tea, and the waitress asked what do I want. I placed my order. I was doing work related paperwork when my food appeared. Foo Young was nice with obvious veggies inside, but warm, not hot. Shrimp had obviously been fried in two??? Batches, one very overcooked, the other hot but extremely greasy. In addition, they were not only the smallest shrimp you could possibly fry, but the batter was terrible. I looked for my waitress and could not get her attention as she spent the entire time I was there talking with a co-worker. I just wanted some hot mustard. She never checked on me nor asked me originally if I wanted anything other than warm tea. This is in a very small town and my lunch was 8.75..no soup. I can go to nearby Eugene and have the same for less, with excellent service and hot green tea. After this greasy, cold lunch the waitress threw my check down and said "have a nice day".
Review Source:Highly recommend the mar far chicken and egg rolls. Could eat an entire meal of just those 2 items. Most of the dishes are moist, hot, and a touch heavy on the saucy side. The BBQ pork is also a must. Caramel iced skin and juicy meat. Good stuff. Pink sauce and Chinese hot mustard for the win.
Rice could be a bit less dry though. And the breaded shrimps are not the size I remember before. Also not a fan of the amount of breaking.
Other than that, this place is a great and tasty place to eat.
