Kuk's is supposedly the oldest continuously operating tavern in Washington, but the mega-brand beer posters covering the walls mostly date from the 1980s. Looks and feels pretty much like what you'd expect from any rural dive bar, complete with a friendly crowd of mostly gray-haired locals and a waitress who writes everyone's tabs down under their first names.
The Taco Tuesday tacos were just like my mom used to make: Bland hamburger, tomatoes, and iceberg lettuce in a crunchy corn shell. Yeah, I grew up in the Midwest, but at 2/$1 those tacos were bargain nostalgia. Eat 32 of them in a sitting and get your picture on the Wall of Fame!
