Spent a few days in Pomeroy and decided to try La Gloria after many recommendations. It's the only Mexican food you will find in the little town. The menu is limited but tasty.
Carne asada tacos are $2.25 each. Each order of chips is fried fresh and you even get to choose flour or corn tortillas (I like to order a mix of both) and it comes on a large plate, big enough to split. Meat is well seasoned, served with lime wedges, cojita cheese, and fresh chopped cilantro. They also had a burrito for $6.00. There is a small covered eating area so you don't have to eat in the car (if you don't live in Pomeroy).
La Gloria also offers a variety of pop so Pepsi and Coke drinkers can live in harmony.
The couple who runs the stand are very sweet and so friendly. Their hours tend to vary a lot but if you happen to pass through town it's well worth it to see f they are open. They only take cash and local checks.
I'll give them 5 stars when they start serving horchata!
4 carne asada tacos, 2 cans of pop, and 1 order of chips = $14.50 tax included.
