When I eat a spicy tuna roll, sure it's good, but the best part is always the tuna itself. Â At the Lana'i Poke Market, my dream has come true (and with even with fresher fish than your average NYC sushi restaurant). Â They have multiple varieties. Â Be sure to show up early as they run out quite quickly and then immediately close for the day. Â Of the places we tried in Lana'i City, this is the only one worth returning to (and in the case of some of friends, returning every day for the remainder of their vacation).
Review Source:Best poke I've ever had. Â The place is on a street, almost residential, so if you get lost just ask around. Â It's not really a "market" (when I think of a market, I think of a farmer's market) but a little shop with a bunch of poke. Â Trust me, it will be worth every penny:
-my favorite was the spicy tuna.
-instead of choosing which one to get, get a half ounce of each poke with a little bit of rice.
Can't wait to go back here!
My husband and I came here when we were in Lanai for our honeymoon. Â While we loved eating at the restaurants at the hotel and all the food we had there was good this REALLY hit the spot.
Affordable and fresh we were lucky because the valet tipped us off on getting the deluxe bowl which came with rice, Teri beef, Mac salad and poke! Â We knew we got the right thing because when we took the bowls in the bus to eat back at the hotel the bus drivers even knew exactly what we ordered and were jealous. Â Once we started eating we knew why!
