Not a lot of vegetarian food down there and this place, since it is Mexican food, has a lot of options on the cheap.
Fast service, our food came out super quick. Beers and cold mugs. Food was good and the waiter was nice as well. The menu has a ton of options and it isn't expensive at all. If you're looking for a good Mexican place to eat or you're a vegetarian that doesn't want even crappier food from McDonald's I would recommend this place.
This is the first DECENT Mexican restaurant I have been to here in North Carolina. My husband and I drove 30 min for this place. It's really good! I still wish they used jack cheese instead of American. For the most part, it was awesome and the beans weren't watery like a bunch if places in NC.
We also got the fried ice cream which was OK. It was mostly whip cream. Yuck.
And the service was terrible. Our waiter messed up my order twice! And then disappeared and we had the manager taking care of us and his other tables haha.
But this is getting 4 starts because this truly is the best Mexican food in NC, that I've tried.
I would have rather went to Taco Bell. The food was the typical quickly made "trying to be" authentic Mexican food where it all tastes the same.  Salsa for chips was a puree of tomatoes probably from a can. The  margarita was scary, whatever "mix" they use it was so strong and so green I thought I would glow.  After thinking about how horrid the food was it was at least better than the service.  We had no service and when someone did speak to us it was in such a hurried manner it was frustrating.  After messing up our desert order I was done.  I did like their fried ice cream - should have just had desert. If I could give no stars I would. Funny thing was - this place was very busy.  They must not know Mexican food here.
Review Source:I came here TWICE last week when I was visiting my best friend and her family!
The first time I went I ordered the combination platter that included: 2 tacos, an enchilada, and a tamale....Muy Deliciouso!
Also, we ordered horchata + fried ice cream.... Â MUY RICA!
The second time I came here, I told my boyfriend about it so my best friend took me here again!
This time I had the queso dip (to go w/ the delicious chips & salsa), chicken tortilla soup, and a chile relleno...Ayyy nako (that's Tagalog for "Oh my goodness!") LoL.
As you can read, the food here is delicious.
I mean, the food is pretty authentic w/ the Mexican servers and such.
Also, the food is freshly made-to-order.
I can't wait to come back here again when I am in town!
