Las Maracas Mexican Restaurant

Stopped by for some food to go as we were passing through on a bit of a road trip and needed to fuel up. The five star reviews for Yelp convinced us to check it out. It's your pretty standard Mexican fare. I asked for mine spicy and was disappointed to find no addition of anything that would add any spice to the dish. It still might be the best option of town just don't go in too high expectations.

Las Maracas is owned by two brothers.  One brother was in the kitchen and the other was waiting tables.  The service was excellent and the food was excellent.  I ordered the Burrito Supreme and it was perfect, not greasy or too much.  My friends ordered the fish tacos and they were wonderful.  The owner told us he uses the fish basa for his fish tacos and very lightly batters and fries it.  Basa is listed as a good alternative on the Monterrey Bay Aquarium seafood watch list.  Beautiful artwork in the restaurant. If I'm ever in Knights Landing again, I will eat here.
