Lava Rock Lounge

A few weeks ago, my boyfriend and I came here because it was the only place that looked open after 10pm in the area we were staying. Lucky for us, it was a lot of fun! Surprising, considering it was part of a little strip mall, but everything in Texas is part of a strip mall . . .  or it's a chain fast food restaurant haha. But, it was great. We came on open mic night, and each got a beer on tap, and it turned out they were only $2 a piece. Call me a New Yorker, but holy shit, that's cheap! Awesome. And they had a pool table (or two?) and a shuffleboard!!!!! The shuffleboard was free to play, too. So great. It was really nice, and the bartender was really sweet too.

I don't exactly know what this place is like (or . . .  is) on weekends, but our mid-week visit was delightful!
