Lures Icehouse

Saw a sign that said "Tues & Thurs Steak Night", so we checked it out tonight. Great find.
Just country casual laid back comfortable atmosphere. They only serve beer and wine, but you can BYOB. Great friendly service!!! (Thank you Carol!) $2 drafts, $3 domestic and vino $3.50 a glass! How can you go wrong?
Food only on "steak nights"! But, for $13 you get a nice steak, baked potato, garlic toast and a salad and some live music (also on Tues & Thurs)
If you are looking for fancy - look elsewhere. But, for an inexpensive couple of pops, don't pass this place by!

Every once and a while you walk into a place and say -- Now this is a place I want to spend more time and get to know everybody. Harking back memories of that 80's show Cheers - where everyone knows your name. This is what I call a true local's joint on the side of the road. If you are looking for pomp please go elsewhere, this place is for real and certainly fun with friends! A great place to unwind after a long day at work or get a Saturday night started right!

Good- Location is awesome just down the road from home. Doesn't get much better for a local "go-to" spot. Lures has a relaxed, yet festive lake community vibe. I love the theme it's perfect for Lake Conroe! It's not pretentious!  You can come as you are and not feel out of place.

We went on Tuesday which is steak night at Lures. They had Texas True Catering grilling up a filling meal of 12oz Ribeye with filled baked potato, salad, and yummy grilled garlic bread! All this food for $13 bucks a person, not bad for a simplified quick bite during the week.

Thursdays they usually have a musician in the Icehouse and plenty of room for dancing with your honey if you so desire.

Come Spring they will be offering crawfish boils on Saturdays and as former NOLA natives, we will definitely have to check this out!!!

They also have a pool table and touch-screen Jukebox filled with tons of great music. I love me some old Southern Rock, but they have plenty of other options for your nightly delight.

Bad- No liquor- only wine and beer, BUT they do offer BYOB-- SWEET!!! For a nominal set up fee, you will get all the mixers you need, and you can't beat being able to bring in your own libations!!! So I guess that ain't half bad!!

Ugly-- Nothing to report I am so glad they are here! Like they say on their FB page Get Hooked at Lures and leave your Trebles behind!!!
