The food offerings were very limited. Would have been nice to have some healthy options.

This is pretty much the go-to apres ski spot for Squaw/Alpine. Great place to see friends, hang out, have a beer. Delicious pizza and cute interior area. I wish they did more hot drinks and craft brews, but, oh well.

Good pizza: go for pepperoni pineapple--trust me, they do go together.

Pitchers of beer also add to the atmosphere; no need for a reservation but it could get busy at peak times or holiday weekends.

Still the best post-power-day spot for pizza and beer.  The deck is usually filled by 2:45 so send someone early to stake out a spot or start practicing your ability to balance multiple plastic beer cups and paper plates of pizza.

This is a legit pizza place that just happens to be ski-in ski-out, not your usual ski resort slices of cardboard.

the wait for specialty items (i.e. not a beer or a slice of pizza that's already on the rack) can be 15-20 minutes.

*as for ski-in ski-out, you just take the long path right off the mountain til you see the big wheel (usually with kids climbing on it). keep your speed up at first, but watch out for dogs as you approach (it's a SUPER popular "fetch" spot and as such, keep you eyes on your pizza as adorable dogs are always circling)

After skiing for a half day, I met my buddy here for lunch and some beers! it was a cool and cheap! they have a bar and seating outside! I ordered a meatball sandwhich! and it was pretty cheap compared to other ski places I ate at. it was cool younger crowd compared to northstar bars and restaurants and another reason why I like squaw better then northstar!!!!

This is the place to go when your n Squaw.

There may be a little wait for the food, but it's worth it.

Good beer, good pizza and good wings outside on the porch in the snow.

Doesn't get much better than that

In an era of ski villages filled with swank, overly polished, expensive places, the Chammy stands out as a killer good old fashion ski bar.   I love this place!

Great place to relax with some beers at the end of the day.

Tons of really sick Squaw memorabilia from all the stars...great prices too

Spent the weekend at Squaw and Apred here are few times, great beers, great crowd (bunch of ex-hippies, richies, San Franciscans, international jetsetters, SoCal people and NorCal people) and very mediocre food (but what do you expect, its for seeing and being seen after a day on the beautiful slopes...

Great times, check it out if you can, certainly not for the family, at least on Friday and Saturday afternoon/evenings but its the most lively and coolest place in Squaw during the season!

Warm atmosphere and great company!  Fun to have a place to wind down and share stories with friends after a great day on the mountain.  They are very efficient at serving beer to a lot of people for a reasonable price.  Buy a pitcher pass or pint pass to save even more time and money.  The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pizza is just OK.

WINTER REVIEW Best value in Squaw!  Pizza is always good and beer flows very nicely by the pitcher.  Tables inside/outside usually easy to get even for a group.  If you are with the kids there is plenty of space for them to run around while you relax.

Sssssssh.  This is a locals joint and you shouldn't be here.

You can always count on a good time in this hard to find patio.

LOVE APRES SKI here! and the PIZZA is great too! Apres ski is awesome when the bar is outside and the music is going on! But the upstairs is always fun- though can be super crowded...Lots of Tahoe locals along with the young San Francisco crowd! We all know the best part of skiing is the beer afterwards! :)

Best place in Squaw to get a beer after skiing!  I dont know if life gets any better than skiing KT-22 all day and then getting a pitcher of Bud on the back deck and sharing laughs with friends.

More locals per sq. ft. than any other place at Squaw.

    For good reason.

This place pritty much kicks a lot of ass! When your ready to quit on your day, ski right into the Chamois, grab a large pizza and a pitcher of beer and go hide in a corner. This is the local scene, so just dip an ear into some of the conversations going on and try and take the legendary Tahoe spirit home with you. God forbid your lucky enough to have shared the mountain on an epic powder day with these Locs! I went cross eyed almost permanently one time after eatting 6 slices of pizza and a pitcher of beer all while listening to some of the huckiest stories since first watching Scot Schmidt in his movie Ski Time as he hucked 60-100 foot cliffs with total control. So if your tired and your hungry and your thirsty, just call it a day, and make that call sound something like this, "hello operator, connect me to the Chamois, I need to speak to the doctor"

When your quads are on fire from a great last run down KT-22, it's time for a pitcher and some hot slices.

Chamois has a great outdoor patio perfect for getting your "apres ski" on. Great music, fun people, and all in all, a great way to end a day on the slopes.

Now, the only question is, when can I get back up there?

Great spot after a long day of snowboarding. I really appreciated the affordable prices as well - unexpected for being a bar at Squaw! I didn't however know of all these pitcher pass deals I'm reading about on here, next time I'll have to buy into one of those!

Fun and solid beer drinking crowd both outdoors and in.  Loved seeing the sake being poured outside.  Definitely going to hit this place up for lunch next time I visit Squaw.  They also offer a unique beer buying system:

The BUDDY PASS - $40 (good for 20 pints of Budweiser)

The BUDDY PITCHER PASS - $75 (good for 10 pitchers of Budweiser)

The PINT PASS - $60 (good for 20 premium draft pints)

The PITCHER PASS - $120 (good for 10 premium draft pitchers)

It may have been the relief of taking off my ridiculously tight and stiff ski boots, the pitchers of cold beer in 60 degree sunshine, the hot pizzas that filled my belly, or the fact that all the winers in our group stayed here and drank beer while the rest of us skied for the afternoon that makes me a huge fan of this place.  The pizza was delish, the beer in pitchers, and you can ski up to the outdoor seating.

Bonus: the outdoor picnic benches were great for making friends and getting others' leftover beer and pizza

I lived in SV/Tahoe for about 4  years, and came here about twice a week during ski season.  Great locals hang out!

It's a great place to people watch during ski season.  You can watch the cable car that glides just above the deck of Le Chamois.
The food is great, the beers were nice and cold.  You can bring your dog!   This is THE place to be for lunch if you're at the bottom of SV.

Who can beat the Chamois? A great crowd, great pizza...and it is just steps from the Loft Bar.

OK, yes, it's true - most of Le Chamois is outdoors.  I don't know how early you have to get to Le Chamois to get a table indoors, but I'm guessing it's pretty early.  Our day of skiing had been pretty balmy and there was a good group outside at Le Chamois, so we vetoed our friend's decision to go to Bar One (it was dead!) and go to Le Chamois.  At those cold evening temperatures, we only lasted about 45 minutes out there.

The outside bar is quick for getting a beer (they serve pitchers!), though the selection is relatively limited - I think we had the choice of Budweiser or Fat Tire.  The food came was quick in coming out - we ordered various snacks but the garlic cheesy bread was the hands-down favorite.

Le Chamois is probably a better location before the sun goes down because once the sun sets, it is pretty cold.  But otherwise, it's a good place to hang out since it's right in the center of the Village.

I love this place.  This is where you go at the end of a long day for some pitchers of beer and some slices of pizza.  Grab a picnic table outside, sit by the outdoor fire place and shoot the shit about your amazing day on the mountain.  Great people watching too.

This is the apres ski hangout for the Squaw-share types and other ski bum locals. It's a fun place to hang out after a day on the mountain, and in good weather they fire up the pit outside and serve hot sake. The meatball sandwiches here are awesome and they have a lot of beers on tap. Very sceney, in fact, I think I saw a woman wearing Prada ski gear there once....

The best place to get a beer after a day on the hill (or at work)- Good pizza and sandos. Try the meatball or the ham and turkey melt.
