For this place to only have one review is a crime. Â Whether you are passing through or stuck in Muleshoe, this is the one place I have consistently enjoyed in the area. Â
A little bit of history: this is the original Leal's - which is a west Texas stable of Tex Mex. Â There are other locations (I ate at the Clovis one last week too) but this is hole-in-the-wall greatness.
Their chips are thick corn and the salsa is more red tomato than spicy peppers. Â Add some seasoning on the chips - it's on the table. Â I think I eat three bowls of the chips by myself everytime I go.
Lots of typical Tex-Mex fair... I usually get the enchiladas, but I have never eaten with anyone who complained about the meal. Â No, it is not going to help you keep your diet, but there is a reason why they classify it as "comfort food."
