Nice ride there, but "not really worth it".
Being Polish and married to a European, this is about our 6th try thru ought the years trying to eat out in a "real polish" eatery.
    It "just never happens".
As with any "nationality, being "polish, or Italian FROM that country", does NOT automatically make you a GOOD Cook of their specialty dishes,
    As happenned here.
I actually have friends that are "county folk", mixed nationalitiy, and they have made GREAT tasting stuffed cabbage and homemade soups perogies, etc.
Nobody has ever topped mine(sorry, its true)

I give credit "where credit is due", but this is ok, but "not the best"...Plus portions are small...
REAL european decent "can't "give you enough" for your dollar.
But, if you really don't know what REAL polish food should taste like"...Go, you may be impressed.
    Service too slow...
Everyone should take the drive and eat here "at least once".

This place gets a second star for their view.  I'm shocked people rave about the food.  Everything I tried on the menu when we came here with my wife's family was overpriced, small portioned, and extremely bland.  My MIL's fish came with exactly 2 halves of a fingerling potato (and a few other vegetable tidbits).  It took forever for the food to arrive.  The waitress was foreign, which in itself isn't bad...but when everything we asked had to be relayed to her manager for translation, it got annoying.
It sure seems like we got a raw deal with our visit, and I'll hold my opinion as an overall singular experience.
But man, I've never been more disappointed in a restaurant, and I'll never be back.  And for the record, I've lived in Germany for a year, and know good European food when I taste it :)

Leg's Inn is all about 3 things.  The drive, the food and the view.  All 3 are wonderful and well worth the experience in and of themselves.  Put them together and you have an experience that is hard to beat anywhere in the country.

First, the drive.  Coming in from the south, take the M119 through the Tunnel of Trees.  Take your time on this narrow winding road because in summer this road is frequented by bicyclists as well as cars and when I say 'narrow' I really mean it.  Take your eyes off the road for too long and you can end up with paint on a tree.  The problem is the views are just so beautiful with Lake Michigan on the left and some truly spectacular properties on the right.

Second, the food.  They serve traditional Polish dishes and there is no need to ever try the American side of the menu.  Everything from the appetizer (Whitefish dip) to the soups (something Polish with potato, sausage and egg) to the stuffed cabbage and then finally a dessert was a delight, well prepared and served hot.  The selection of Polish beers was very good as well.

Finally, the view.  Pick a nice day and sit out on the patio among the glorious flowers and shrubs while drinking in the view of Lake Michigan.  Really folks, it doesn't get much better than this.

I should also like to mention the well trained and attentive staff.  I really don't know how they do it but many of the wait staff are college students working there during the summer and they lend a wonderful air of authenticity to the experience. I can't wait until we can go back.

Had a wonderful early afternoon weekday dinner here in July.  Highly recommend the sauteed pierogi!  Great Polish cooking brought back childhood memories of neighborhood entertaining in my northwest side Chicago neighborhood  - and the panorama Lake Michigan view is spectacular.

This is a place to visit for the experience. The exterior, interior decor, garden, patio, and view are all worth seeing. Walk around before or after your meal. The sunset in Cross Village is fantastic - don't miss going out back!

We only had to wait about ten minutes on a Friday night. I think the rain kept most of the motorcycle crowd away, so I'm sure we got in more quickly than normal.

Sometimes these 'experience' places don't deliver on the food, but we were quite pleased with everything we tasted.  I am not an expert in Polish cuisine, so I can't tell you if it will taste just like babcia's or not, but I do know it was all well seasoned and enjoyable.

Our Polish waitress was a little too quiet for the room (folk artist moved indoors because of the rain), but she was very friendly and did not keep us waiting for anything.

I'm not a connoisseur of Polish food but it was tasty.  The service was good and the beer selection looked decent - though we were there for lunch so skipped.  Sat on the patio and the weather was perfect.  Really enjoyable.

Ah, Legs Inn. Five stars for the experience and atmosphere, four stars for the food.

First, no matter where you're coming from, you're going to drive a long way to get here. Drive up from Harbor Springs or Petoskey and take the scenic route: A winding and narrow road that takes you through the woods and adjacent to Lake Michigan. You'll spend a lot of time thinking, "Are we ever going to get there?" (And not knowing the answer because cell phone and GPS coverage is spotty at best.) And then--there it is. Along with about 50 cars and 100 motorcycles parked out front. And a 60-90 minute wait for a table on a good day. ("Where did all these people come from?" you'll wonder.)

Grab a beer and head out to the back lawn. Then just relax and people watch until your table is ready. Or stare at the interesting architecture, artwork and carved wood.

If you're going to drive an hour to get to a Polish restaurant/biker hangout, the least you can do is stick to the Polish side of the menu. Is it the best Polish food in the world? No (even though most of the the servers come over from Poland for the summer). The kitchen puts out a lot of meals every day, and it sometimes shows. But having pierogi, or kabanosy or bigos or kielbasa or nalesniki is still a lot more memorable than another serving of Northern Michigan fried perch or planked whitefish.

Something new under the sun!  It's not every day that you run across an establishment that is truly unique, but Legs Inn is it - and in a good way.  Built by Polish immigrant Stanley Smolak in collaboration with expert Ottawa craftsman, Legs  Inn has been open since at least the early 1930's.

Legs Inn gets its name from the decorative stove pipe legs that line the edge of the roof of the beautiful stone structure.  But what really makes the atmosphere special is the folk art created by Smolak using trees and antlers.  You've never seen anything else like it, because there isn't anything else like it.

The unusual space itself makes Legs Inn worth a visit, even if you have to travel a while to get there.  But the food and the service are top-notch and make Legs Inn a must-do destination if you're anywhere in the area.  Authentic Polish food is served by the Smolak family and servers who travel from Poland to spend the season working at Legs Inn.

Hubby has been to Legs Inn on several occasions; this was my first visit.  We started with an appetizer of whitefish spread and crackers - delicious and just the perfect amount to whet the appetite.  Hubby went on to the biggest club sandwich ever served (I know, not very Polish, but a Polish grandma sized serving).  He accompanied his sandwich with pan-fried potato dumplings instead of the usual fries.

I had vegetable nalesniki, polish style crepes filled with fresh roasted vegetables and covered with dill cream sauce, accompanied by Zurek soup, which is traditional Polish sour soup that includes "Polish sausage, hard-boiled eggs and red potatoes in a rich meat & rye stock."  The meal was to die for.

Top all of this off with the beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the lovely garden in back of the Inn, and you have the epitome of Northern Michigan heaven.

One of those eccentric restaurants that you either love or don't.  Great menu, authentic Polish food, opt for the outside seating with spectacular view of Lake Michigan.  Food is a bit pricey for what it is, but it's novel.  Drinks, same thing.  Waitstaff were fun, service reasonably quick and food was good!

I'm not a particularly religious person, but sometimes I get to imagining what heaven would be like.

To me, heaven would take place at the Legs Inn. It would be just an hour or so before sunset on a warm summer evening. The Legs Inn garden would be in spectacular bloom, and its bluff overlooking Lake Michigan gives a view of a brilliant blue horizon where water meets sky. People are gathered outside, some waiting for a delicious meal and some waiting for an unforgettable sunset. Children chase each other around the grounds, laughing and calling out to each other. Everyone I've ever loved is there.

Should I wander inside, I can have the finest meal ever to cap off the finest day. Pierogies or cabbage rolls, goulash or whitefish, there's no way to go wrong. I'm joined by family members, friends perhaps long-ago forgotten, maybe even strangers who have some interesting stories to tell.

Wandering a bit further back into the building, I come across a victory party being thrown for that candidate I worked for, and everyone is smiling and high-fiving and clapping each other on the back. All that hard work, all for a purpose, and now it's time to enjoy.

Like I said, it's my idea of heaven. I have a hunch that if I live this life right, that's what I get to look forward to for all eternity. But until then, I'll just have to visit it one evening at a time, each time I'm lucky to head north for a day or two.

    I adore this place
    Brings out my inner Polack
    Awesome scenery

I am doing something I normally don't do.  I am reviewing a place that I haven't been to in years.  If I am going to get to 100 in 2013, I think it might be necessary.

The drive to this place from the south is second to none.  It is at the northern end of "The Tunnel of Trees".  I can think of few roads that I enjoy as much as this one.

I have been to Legs twice now.  The first time was in 2008.  Sarah Palin had just gotten the VP nod.  Had the Golabki.  Fantastic!  One of the standout meals of my life.  The backside of the restaurant is smack dab on Lake Michigan.  Came back again in 2010 and stayed in one of the cottages that are maintained by the restaurant.  If you choose to stay here, be prepared to step back into the past.  No TV, 50's style cabin.  Loved every minute of the stay.

The atmosphere, the food and the scenery at Legs are as good as it gets!  I want to go back ASAP, but think I will wait until summer.

Some of the best Polish food I've ever had, and well worth a harrowing early evening trip down the very narrow Tunnel of Trees (which I kept calling Trail of Terror both because of the hairpin curves and the behavior of tourists in Escalades and other ueber-SUVs, driving like maniacs). We also had to wait almost an hour for a table -- no reservations here, either, so you can't escape a wait on a busy day -- and wound up nursing beers at a busy bar with a few obnoxious, inebriated frequent fliers.

But the food, when we were finally seated -- oh, the food! We didn't want a huge meal so the two of us split a sampler platter that included a small bowl of white borscht, a  small dish of bigos (sauerkraut,, mushrooms, sausage and meat stew) topped with tiny dumplings, assorted pierogi, kielbasa bites and beet/horseradish relish. Everything was absolutely delicious and authentic. The rye bread that came with the meal was also excellent. We ended our Poilsh tapas adventure by splitting two desserts, a berry crumble with ice cream and dessert pierogi stuffed with strawberries and drizzled  with sweetened sour cream.

{Don't know if you like Polish food? Try a sampler or split some appetizers, like we did. Not a fan of common Polish ingredients like cabbage, beets, kraut, etc.? The cutlet entrees are like German Schnitzel, very "safe" food for the unadventurous. There are also a few non-Polish entree items available like local whitefish done simply or a bleu burger. And if you're looking for vegetarian dishes, there are veggie versions of many of the favorite Polish dishes.)

Our server, Magda, was as authentically Polish as the food, and was a charming and helpful waitperson.

I'll also give props to the interior, which I can only describe as like something out of Lord of the Rings, with some "up north" taxidermy thrown in. Just incredible, weird and wonderful woodworking you have to see to believe...a labor of love of the restaurant's founder.

This is an iconic restaurant in the area -- a must-go for travelers. Just remember that there are no gas stations on the 20-mile stretch of M-119  from Harbor Springs that includes Cross Village, so fill 'er up before you make the trek.

We enjoyed a great summer night dinner seated outdoors, on the shores of Lake Michigan.  It has the most amazing location.  The restaurant itself is fun because it's so unusual - a one-of-a-kind with all the carved wood and unusual legs ringing the exterior.
The Polish food is fun and tasty.  My #1 dish to look forward to here is their creamy sauerkraut.  We liked the Pierogi's - especially the mushroom-sauerkraut.  Their Polish sausage is the best that we've had, including the Polish meat markets in Chicago.  The Bigo stew is very tasty as well.  The only thing that we didn't care for was a meat pate appetizer.
If you're in the Harbor Springs area, take the time to drive 20 miles north along the beautiful M119 "Tunnel of Trees" for a wonderful Michigan dinner experience.

Since I was in this area with my sister, son, his wife, 2 children, and father-in-law I had to take them to Legs Inn restaurant which sits overlooking beautiful Lake Michigan in upper Michigan, and of course, it had to be in the evening for the sunset!  Beautiful.  It was not all that crowded.  When we got there they sat us immediately in the newer outside enclosed area.  It was a little chilly outside so I am so glad they sat us there.

The waitress from Poland came and was very polite.  She took our order - remember 7 people!  Had no confusion whatsoever.

Food came, sunset came, everything was beautiful.  Of course the gardens were spectacular as well.  Started to get dark - real dark and some of the group had rented a house in the tunnel of trees, so they had to get out of there because there is no lighting - just your headlights!

Definitely a do again.  Love this restaurant and the international staff (Polish food and they bring in servers and cooks from Poland every year).

    so picture it..

You are in a small town in upper Michigan and you are craving something sturdy to keep you warm while you sit by the lake and relax. What better then Polish food????

Come to this place if you are anywhere near Cross Village.. the atmosphere and decor alone are worth the trip. They also have a trippy shop to buy things in that are pretty unique.

The meal we had was planned out and family style starting with soup or salad then tons of traditional polish favorites then dessert.  Everything was very good and some things like this beef stew thing was EXCELLENT.

After your meal you can sit by the lake and have some drinks.. its the best view

Its a must stop if you are passing thru..

This place is great and I don't even like polish food.

The history, the ambiance, the outdoor seating staring at Lake Michigan, it's all perfect and worth a drive out of the way on a summer afternoon to check out.  I have run in to many people all over the Country and when you mention Northern Michigan so many of them mention this little gem of a bar/restaurant.

Note: The menus is all traditional polish food so you may be trying something new that you can't pronounce, but just go with it!

Let me start by saying I can see how this place could be awesome.  It's just that for us, it wasn't.  Our first mistake was coming on a weekend so the wait for a table was 90 minutes.  It was suggested we get a drink while we wait so we did but the line for the bar was 20 people deep.  When it was our turn to order we purchased four pints and the pour was PATHETIC!!!  I stared in disbelief that I was being charged $22 for what was about 3.5 pints.  I looked at the woman next to me and saw that her bartender had given her a full pint so I decided to speak up and asked my bartender to please fill up the rest of my glass.  HE SAID NO.  He said my glass, with no head and the beer 1.5 inches from the top of the glass, was as full as they pour.  I left completely irritated.

We sat outside on the ground to drink our beers because there were no seats available and then left before our name was called for lunch.  Even if we come back into town, I will never return.  Thanks bartender!

This place offers quite a unique dining experience! It was very family friendly with lots of driftwood art and over-the-top taxidermy. The outdoor gardens on the bluff overlooking Lake Michigan was quite amazing as well.

The food is very vegetarian friendly.  The "Taste of Poland" was a tasty sampler plate, with the veggie crepe Nalesniki being the tastiest of them all.  The beer selection offered both Michigan microbrews and traditional  Polish lagers.

Although Yelp indicated the restaurant was closed for the season, a quick phone call proved otherwise.

It is unique and worth a visit if you're near the area. But it is overpriced, the food is mediocre and the service is hit or miss. We had one bartender that was really friendly and one that was a jerk. The waitress seemed nice but was m.i.a. most of the time. It took almost an hour to get our food and we didn't have appetizers, and there were only 4 dinners at our table. It is mostly worth the trip for the atmosphere.

Legs Inn has seriously gone downhill.  Once worth driving across the state for I can't imagine going back even if we were driving by. The menu has been shrunk with only a few Polish dishes left and the food is now a disappointment.  It even seems like they've removed much of the interesting wood sculptures inside!
Pierogis were tough, dry and flavorless.  We didn't even snack on the leftovers we brought home and they went in the trash -- which is really saying something!  The zurek soup was flavorful but heavy on the potatoes and very stingy with the meat.  Why cut corners on a meal that is this expensive??
It's still a fabulous view when you are lucky enough to eat outdoors but having gone there for years we were all disappointed.  Are there new owners?  Because they are running this once wonderful place into the ground.

    okocim polish porter on tap.
    handmade pierogi's.
the most amazing view of the lake Michigan coastline.
blankets brought to you outside at dusk.
sturgeon bay still dripping from my hair and the subtle warmth of sunburn on my cheeks.
smoked whitefish pate and the smell of pines.
    heaven.

I stopped here because i blew out a tire in the tunnell of trees. Best pit stop ever. I have come back here several times since then with a bit of anitcipation. A little toursit trappy, but in a good honest up north 1950's mystery spot diner kind of way. The ambiance is amazing if you time it right.. I  suggest right before dusk. The knotty pine woodworking and taxidermy are completely over the top. Beware of the Jackalope, he will make you drink krupnik.

Check out the party store next door for truely delicious locally made goodies. This is a place that i go to in my dreams.  Sturgeon bay state park is amazing as well. I would not hesitate to put the natural beauty of this coastline up against any other in the country.  Please experience this place. The restauraunt is half the story. Check out the local hippy fest called "Bliss." The fall color tour of the tunnell of trees is a must do in this lifetime.

Legs Inn is one of a kind. So special and unique, I dedicated my final paper in my Environmental History class my senior year of college to it! Now in my mid-twenties, I have been coming here since I was a kid. I have since graduated from cheesy nachos to finally enjoying all the beer and polish food my belly can handle. The inside is such a treat, with ornate wood carvings and Native American-esque statues and decor throughout. If it is a nice evening, you really need to sit outside and enjoy the beauitul views of Lake Michigan. Try to get here well before sunset so you can snag a prime table!

The Jelly Roll Blues Band have been performing here for years and I was grateful to have made it there a night they were performing this past summer. I don't live in Northern Michigan but always make a point to stop here at least one night if I am up north on vacation. It's a bit of a drive if you aren't staying right in Cross Village but if you take the Lake Shore route you won't regret it. The views and scenery are truly heavenly.

Me and my sister joke about getting married up north and having our reception at the Legs Inn-maybe it's not such a bad idea!

The best Polish food I have ever had in my life! This place was great. The atmosphere, outstanding. You have to come here at least once in your lifetime. It's this rustic, cabiny, eclectic, Indian, Polish ball of goodness wrapped up in one all set on this beautiful overlook. Our waitress was helpful in pronouncing everything "the right way" lol, I had the pierogi and glompkie, delish! They also bring you fresh rye bread with butter to the table too, I had to ask for seconds it was so good. The dessert...OMG, it was this berry crumble with French Vanilla ice cream, I think I creamed my pants after eating that.  The only downside was the $$. A little pricy in my book, $55 for 2 of us, but it's all about the experience, right?

Legs Inn is crazy in an amazing sort of way. The building is jaw droppingly cool - built out of hand carved Lake Michigan driftwood and local river stone. The original Polish owner and some Ottawa Indians built the place in the 1920s with a funky artistic flair and it has a kind of western lodge / native american feel to it - the building would fit right in in Montana or Wyoming. The location is as amazing as the building - set high on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, Sturgeon Bay and Beaver Island - the patio has amazing sunset views, especially during the summer.

The food is mainly Polish and is quite good. We started with the smoked Kiolbasa sausage with homemade sauerkraut, which was fabulous. The housemade Pirogis were all very tasty, as were the cabbage rolls. The goulash and hunter's stew were nice as well. Service was friendly and efficient.

If you find yourself in the area definately check this place out, it's one of the cooler places in northern Michigan - M119 aka "The Tunnel of Trees" is a very pretty drive as well.

I can't say enough good things about the Legs Inn. There's a reason it's a Michigan historical landmark, and there's a reason it's always packed in the evenings, especially on weekends. Legs is an incredible building, inside and out: built in the 1920s out of pieces of Lake Michigan driftwood, carved and arranged artistically to reflect the local Ottawa culture. The building and its furnishings are truly works of art and pieces of history.

The setting itself is another work of art- this time, mother nature's art. Legs is situated on a bluff that overlooks beautiful Lake Michigan to the west. Four lighthouses are visible in the distance and if you stick around for sunset, the show can't be beat. On your way to or from the restaurant, check out the free public access beach just a few minutes away (the water's not THAT cold, don't be such a wimp!) and don't miss the Tunnel of Trees, the scenic drive along the western shore, stretching from Cross Village to Good Hart to Harbor Springs. The option of outdoor seating (in a lovely, well-manicured garden) really makes Legs a no-brainer. The service can be on the slow side but I don't ever mind, rarely even notice.

The food is consistently good, and as authentically Polish as you can get in the US. Most of the dishes on the menu contain meat, but vegetarians can count on having several good options. Legs also sports a full bar and a robust beer list- including some rare imports that are hard to find in northern Michigan and similar rural areas (if you want to really be Polish for a night, you've got to get Okocim- they always have it on draught). If by some miracle you still have room for dessert after your meal, they are worth the money- large portions and decadent. The carrot cake is my favorite. Prepare to be stuffed.

On some Friday and Saturday nights, there will be live music (often a local singer-songwriter or 2-piece guitar act). But everyone who's anyone is there on Sunday nights, when the Jelly Roll Blues Band plays a regular gig. The place is always packed on Sunday nights, so come EARLY if you want to eat dinner. And be ready to dance if you stick around- Legs throws the most bumpin' party north of Gaylord. To put it simply: Legs delivers, both as a staple spot and as a special destination.

If you're heading up north - drive along the tunnel of trees on the West side of Michigan, and you will run right into Legs Inn.  Place has a great view of Lake Michigan (a very high view).  Outdoor patio is beautiful!  Polish food is abundant, and delicious.  I love this venue!!  I own one of the Legs Inn pint glasses, and use it pretty exclusively to drink my beer at home.  Definitely suggest stopping here!!

Legs Inn was founded and built by a Polish immigrant that was fascinated with nature, wood working, and Native American culture, and continues to be family owned and operated since the 1920's. I can't say enough good things about the atmosphere (or food) of the restaurant, it's truly an art museum and a great historical landmark in Michigan.

The food. I ordered the vegetarian combo that came with Pierogi and  Vegetable Nalesniki (crepes). I was hesitant about the crepes but they were SO good. Next time I think I'll just order the Nalesniki, because it was so flavorful.

You HAVE to save room for dessert.  My family shared the Berry Szarlotka Fruit Pierogi Du Jour. The Szarlotka is their specialty, an Old World crumble cake (LOTS of crumble). And the Fruit Pierogis are heaven.

Say it's your birthday and they'll sing you "Sto lat." Yay!

Legs Inn is one of the coolest places in America. Seriously. Where else can you eat amazing Polish food and drink yummy Polish beer perched on top of a bluff overlooking pristine Lake Michigan.

Driving north to Legs Inn you should opt to drive through the tunnel of trees. Be cautious driving; the road is pretty narrow and twisty turny, but it is amazing to be engulfed by nothing but ancient looking trees and the most incredible views of Lake Michigan you will ever see.

The restaurant itself has a pretty cool history. Ottawa Native Americans used to populate the area. The gift shop is pretty neat with native american artifact type stuff.

Legs Inn is kid friendly and even good for picky kid eaters. When I was a kid I used to order chicken wings and pierogis here all the time. The polish food is pretty darn good and tastes even better when washed down with a beer. Stay a little later and there is frequently live music in the evenings.

I wish I could give Legs Inn more than 5 stars. It is worthy. I can't wait to come back this August!

The location, view, and atmosphere are unique and get a FIVE STAR RATING...the food, although polish, and satisfing is nothing to write home about! I'm polish and love sausage, kraut, beets, and all that good stuff, just doesn't seem like food is thier #1 priority. All a little bland...but still worth the price...because.....THE PLACE IS AMAZING. All wood, historic, and always packed in the summer.  It's just a neat little hidden treasure you should visit, and especially on a night were live music is playing. WHAT A FUN COOL PLACE TO SEE! Lots of Vodka, Perogies and a five star, one of a kind Michigan Sunset!

Going to this place was all my friends idea.
"We have to go there" was all he kept saying to me.
We arrived from Ann Arbor, a little 6 hour hop, in time still for the lunch menu.
We both order the "Taste of Poland"
A serving of kielbalsa and saurkraut, 3 pierogies, and a stuffed cabbage roll, total 18.45 each. Yeah it is not cheap.
When we got our platters, the thought, "generous serving?" came to mind from what  the menu said.
This was far from that! I was at the moment a not too pleased camper.
The food was quite wonderful, but the amount!
Someone needed to remind me about how filling Polish food is.
By the end, we both felt like beached whales, barely able to lumber our body out to the truck for that now dreaded 6 hour drive home.
I was still not hungry the next day!
So I must remember to keep an open mind from now on when it comes to Polish food.
Pricey? yes a bit. But the service was great, the scenery wonderful, the food yummy, and the after feeling, please a nap first!

The setting is unbelievable.  The restaurant sits on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan between Harbor Springs and the Mackinaw Bridge.  Just gorgeous view with outdoor seating.  While you wait, they have a large maintained area where you can have a drink or let the kids run around.  The food is good, not great, but always quite a sceene.  It gets pretty nuts after dark.

A Detroit-area friend had recommended this place and it's a Polish restaurant with a charming history.  The back of the restaurant overlooks Lake Michigan.  It's open from Memorial Day week-end to late October.  It's currently run by the great-nephew of the original owner and we had a nice conversation with him after eating lunch there in 10/07.  The food was delicious, and they also have vegetarian ingredients for pierogies & other items.  Our server was terrific and the others also seemed very friendly.  Prices were moderate.  Depending on the day and time, I recommend making reservations.

We found this while staying at the Apple Tree Inn in Petoskey, and it was well worth the drive!  Excellent food, great waitstaff (yay, Tashina!), and a most unique design and decor make this a must-see.

From the smoked whitefish entree and THE best Bloody Mary I've had in eons, to the crumble-cake with berries dessert, the food was excellent.  It was lunch so the servings were not large, but they were quite ample and tasty beyond words.  They specialize in Polish cuisine but have a number of other offerings, and vegetarian options.

    Open from mid-May through mid-October.

This is a must see, must stop, must eat, must hang out place no matter what your age.  At night there is dancing and bands (summers) and great food.  It's a cool old place that has stayed current and fun.

Forget Hamtramck this is the best and most authentic Polish food in Michigan! Well worth the drive if you are anywhere near the area. The Legs Inn is also very vegetarian aware having several vegeterian options on the menu and always one soup of the day is vegetarian. To go with this great food they also have serve over 100 beers including a Polish brew on tap and an array of Polish vodkas.
