Stopped in on the way home for takeout, and ordered a crawfish po-boy and fries.  Sandwich was fine, but nothing special as were the fries.  However, it took them over 25 minutes to get me my food, with only two tables of diners in the place.

Dine-in might increase my rating, but as there is no beer-wine license I won't be going.

So good! I love Cajun and Creole food and eat it frequently, and I am impressed. Our party had boudain sausage balls, shrimp and grits, gumbo, crawfish étouffée, muffalettas, bread pudding, and beignets, and everyone raved about their food. The beignets were fantastic. Friendly and quick service. Will be back.

What a disappointment!  Have been going to this place for several months for the oyster basket and walked in and ordered it again.   Returned to my table and a basket arrived with 8 oysters (one plump) and about 20 small sliced french fries.  The waitress asked about the meal and I told her it was much smaller than in the past.  She said there was new ownership and they had repriced and resized meals.  The chef came out and I asked him how much was the basket and he said $18.  So I said you have gone up $6  and dropped the number of oysters from 12 or more to 8.  Marietta Fish House still gives a platter for $9.95 and you should be ashamed.  He says I'm not ashamed, oysters are $55 a gallon and strutted away,  Apparently he hasn't counted the number of oysters in a gallon  Rest assured I will not return and I suggest you try Last Catch in Jasper or the Marietta Fish House.

If you're not from this area, you'll probably wonder, "where is Ball Grounds, Ga?" Well, it's off of I-575. And Les Bon Temps Louisiana Kitchen is located in the heart of downtown Ball Grounds, GA.

Wait, I thought this was a review for Tadpole's? It is. They changed ownership and renamed themselves, "Les Bon Temps Louisiana Kitchen." They kept the old decor and everything.

Les Bon Temps means, "The Good Times," in French. I guess this is as much fun you can get at Ball Grounds, unless you go up to Gibbs Gardens.

Anyway, how is the food? Well, they are the best Louisiana restaurant in Ball Grounds. I tried their Red Beans and Rice and their Crawfish Po-Boy. They both tasted pretty good.

I liked the flavor of their red beans and rice. They give it to you in a real dish and have a huge smoked sausage cut in two. They gave us a spoon and fork to eat it with. I wished they gave us a knife as well to cut the sausage. But the flavor was there, and it tasted good.

I also liked my Crawfish Po Boy. It tasted good. The bread was okay, I think that was the weakest part of the sandwich. But everything else tasted spot on. For their po-boys, they offer 2 sizes: half and whole. The whole is about a foot long. So a half is half a foot long.

I like Les Bon Temps Louisiana Kitchen. If you ever drive by here or live around here, give them a try.
