Great steak! Â We just moved to south-west Rome and we're surprised about the lack of steakhouses. Then we were driving around and stumbled upon this gem.
Started with fried green tomatoes. Very tasty and simple tart green tomatoes with light corn meal batter, just the way we make em at home. Next was the salad. Some other people were eating the regular house salad and it looked good but I sprung extra dollar for the Marie's salad which had walnuts, dried cranberries, and feta. It was very good and fresh but the house vinegarette was a bit fruity for me and I ended up getting ranch (I know, very healthy).  For the main course I had the ribeye with a baked potato and my wife had the filet with a sweet potato. The ribeye was excellent, cooked to a perfect medium rare and seasoned expertly with a peppery rub. The meat itself was high quality, thick, not very fatty but still had good marbling. The filet was medium  rare also but they missed a little on the rub for it, a little salty but for 6pm on a Wednesday in a new restaurant, no biggie. The potatoes were good but it's hard to mess up potatoes. We skipped dessert and for a soda, a beer, an appetizer, filet, ribeye, and tax it was only around $55. I will definitely cume bake when I need my beef fix.
