I guess this review is a bit moot, since LTBs is no more. Â But I have to say this.
I want to like LTBs. Â I really, really do. Â I have been going there since they opened and I even worked there for about a year...but the service really kills it, and that was part of the reason that I had to leave. Â I couldn't be a member of a team like that, even as a college student and even as just a host. Â It was just too embarrassing, especially because I frequently had family and friends come because they wanted to give business to a place that I worked at.
In the 5 or so years since I quit, I have been back about 6 times. Â The majority of the time I had to explain to the bartenders how to make my drink (which I suspect they knew how to make, but just didn't want to since the recipe called for more than 2 things). Â My drinks usually came back different every time. Â
The last time I went to LTBs was close to a year ago, I'm thinking. Â I went with my sister. Â Bear in mind that there is something written on the doors about a dress code, but it was never explained what that code was, and most people who go there now dress like they're from Ohio and just discovered Aeropostale and PacSun. Â My sister and I came in and since all the seats were taken at the bar, we took a seat at the island near to the bar and made eye contact with the bartender, who did not come over. Â In fact...no one did. Â We waited 15 minutes at least, tried a few times to get the waitresses' attention, and finally we just got up and left.
I have heard that LTBs is rebuilding. Â I hope that this is the case, because it had the potential to be one of the only decent bars in Wyandotte - the kind of bar where you actually check your appearance before you head there, the kind where you can stop for a drink after leaving the office, take business clients for lunch, bring your date for a quick dinner on the patio and then take a walk around the park. Â But instead it became a breading ground for clueless, talentless waitresses and a management team that was more into hanging out than making things work.
Blackened salmon pita with coal slaw and a cup of chicken tortilla soup mmmm is what I usually order! Â They have a good menu for being a bar and I always see families for dinner there also which is awesome because when it becomes night time tables out of the way DJ comes in and its a little night club.
Review Source:This place is for a certain crowd. If you like Jersey Shore, then you'll love this place. Bunch of over testosteroned d-bags getting into fights. Â However, the food is good, and if a good game is on, this is a great place to watch it. To sum it up: at night = D-Bags. Dinner/Lunch = great food and service
