  :Yet another restaurant in the John Mogensen & Lisa Aspenson pantheon (Mona Lisa, Mogis, Stella Blues The Red Room).  Great downtown building with a game room, outdoor area with huge fire pit, decent size bar and a lot of seating to eat.
  
  Good news - great food, big portions.  This is real food, made on site, all the way down to the tarter sauce for the fish fry.   Far better detail to food than you will find at a comparable price anywhere else.  Food is also consistently good,  Beer selection is not extensive, but they rotate in a lot of different beers which makes up for it.  Bloody Mary's however are a little weak - they come with a complete meal (sausage stick, celery, pickle, asparagus, more), but they are not that flavorful.  I would rather have a better drink, less food.
  
  Only downside is the noise - as in very high noise levels.  If your ok with that (it is a bar, after all) than there are no downsides.

  Good food and ambiance, decent beer selection, but oh god does their music suck.  Extremely yuppie.  Expect giant portions.  We've been several times and the service has always been fine.

  Great atmosphere.  The only place in Eau Claire where you can sit out by the fire on the patio in the back.  The food is good, some creative selections.  My crew loves the calamari with the soy ginger sauce.  Decent selection of beer on tap.  Slate bar...when the place first opened the bartender would write his name on the bar with chalk and and write your name on it too.  It was cool, but they stopped doing it.  Has a gameroom attached, too.

  I was surprised to see the low rating that The Livery had gotten. I believe they have the best fish fry in the Chippewa Valley. I haven't been in town for quite some time, but if they're still using grouper then I recommend giving it a shot. I love their beer selections, and the atmosphere is something great -- doesn't matter who you are or your age -- you'll feel like you belong there. The only poor remark I have is their rabbit dish missed its mark. Tasted too much like its emulsifier ingredient and not enough like rabbit.

  More of a place to go on the weekend for a drink. I don't like the food but my friends and family do! I don't view it as a broad range and def not somewhere to take your kids!

  The restaurant is inside an old renovated livery stable (used to rent horses for hire).  Large rolling door located at front of building that is opened during pleasant weather.  In back is an outdoor eating area with a large fire pit that creates a nice atmosphere when dining at night.  Salmon wrap is very good. They serve the best fried calamari I've found in Eau Claire.

  Have been here 3 times now and all 3 times have been disappointed. The jerk chicken wrap was awful, very dry and the seasoning reminded us if what moldy jalapeño would taste like.
