I like Loco's because they have some non-traditional chain restaurant items, like black beans as a side, and handmade veggie burgers. The wings, burgers, fries and reubens are good, too, but the restaurant is a little slimy, the beer selection is rudimentary and the service is hit-or-miss.
They also deliver, which is great if you need wings for a party and don't have the time to go pick them up. I've honestly ordered dinner in from them before because I just didn't feel like seeing people that night. Treat yo' self. Â
Two and a half stars for their general service, food and atmosphere; a half star for delivery service.
Ugh! Stopped by hoping for a good burger and Loco's disappointed me. The service was S-L-O-W. Â It was 10 minutes until drink order was taken. Waiter didn't know what beers were on tap and even then fit it wrong.
Food took 30 minutes and it was not bc the kitchen was busy.
Medium burgers were over cooked.
Solid F.
Won't be back.
just ate here again this week and had the "Scout" burger. It's no longer on the menu but it is always delicious. This time was no exception. Best burgers in town.
There's that other place that claims their burgers are great "? Guys" but there's no comparison. Loco's burgers are great!
Locos is a cool place. Â It has a real casual atmosphere, typical of most pubs. Â There are quite a few TVs for you to enjoy the game while having a good time out with friends. Â The restraunt does have a gritty feel, however, with its concrete floors and wooden benches. Â The food was average. Â My friend ordered the blackened fish sandwich, which she said was bland. Â I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak; it was okay...nothing spectacular. Â They use the shaved slices of steak here; all things being equal I prefer having chunks of steak. Â Our waiter Tony was very attentive and pleasant.
Review Source:This is a decent burger & brew joint. It doesn't have the ambiance of, say, The Rookery, but it's large enough to easily plan a meal with a large group. Locos seems like a college town staple in Georgia, featuring a range of wings, sandwiches, drinks, and events to draw a crowd.
I went here recently and ordered the pesto chicken sandwich (grilled chicken breast with mozzarella cheese, tomatoes, and lettuce on an onion roll with basil pesto) with pasta salad. The chicken was fairly tough, but not a bad meal overall. But after seeing the burger my husband ordered, I somewhat regretted the decision. Now that thing looked tasty.
Our biggest complaint was that there's some sort of issue with the speaker system in the restaurant, which causes whatever song that's playing to be delayed on one side of the restaurant. This can get fairly annoying, but apparently there's nothing they can do about it.
A local sport's bar/restaurant, Loco's is consistently good, and the have an excellent draft beer selection, including the Athen's brew Terrapin. They have a full bar and a full menu: from favorite appetizers like spinach & artichoke dip to Buffalo wings. Their sandwiches are some of the best around; I like the chicken Philly and the turkey Reuben. They also have a Garden Burger option, for when I'm eating vegetarian like I should, and a fair good vegetarian/vegan selection, including a portobello sandwich (called the Fun Guy).
A while ago they got rid of many of their draft beer selection, but after complaining about it several times, they have begun stocking a better selection again, and not just Bud. They're open late, and the service is generally good.
Try a Terrapin Rye when you go.
