The Lodge

Went there for a Friday fish fry. 1st time there, bar was really clean and nice atmosphere. Would possibly go there again to drink, but never to eat. Food was awful, fish was poorly battered and cooked. I think is was pre-done and heated up in a microwave. Potato was like the baking kind you would get at Wal-Mart. Coleslaw was warm and veggies were cold and soggy. Portions were small for what you paid and what you can obtain at other restaurants in Chippewa Falls. Possibly go there to drink (prices at bar kind of high), but never to eat. Find someplace else for dinner.

Stumbled into this gem of a place after trying to find the restaurant at the Leinie's brewery. Ultimate fail when we walked into the Leinie Lodge thinking it was a restaurant, and ultimate win when the lady pointed us here.

So....walked in on a Sunday in the middle of a Packer game....there was green everywhere (including Jello shots...) Friendly people and great service. We split a burger and some of the most delicious wings I've had in a long time. The wings were big and fried extra long ( you know? when they get that awesome crisp on them!) We didn't even have to ask! They were lightly breaded and the sauce was hot and sweet like a good buffalo sauce should.

If I lived in Chippewa Falls, I'd frequent this place....but I obviously don't. This joint gets super A++, man and would be my first choice before or after the Leinenkugel's Brewery.
