This is my favorite restaurant in Speculator (but Speculator is a very small town). We have a summer house nearby, and have come here about ten times over the years. The staff is nice, and they always have several very good beers on tap, and Frank's Red Hot on every table. The food is tasty, the portions are big and full of fat (like most of the customers). The waitstaff is not exactly swift, but they do the best they know how. A nice place for dinner, if you don't expect a lot.
Review Source:Last year while working at COTW I went to logans for a special going away dinner with a friend and I would not recommend going to this restaurant. I payed around $8 for a cheese quesadilla which was made with two 8" tortillas with a little cheese between. If I wanted something so bland I could have made it in the microwave at camp. Logans, please consider improving this item. I have nothing to say as to the rest of the menu, but from the lack of flavor in what I did buy, I would not go back there again.
Review Source:Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice.....
Went to Logan's twice during a weeklong stay in the Adirondacks with two teenage sons. First for lunch. Son number one enjoyed fish and chips. I had French onion soup. Just average. Son number two ordered medium rare bacon cheeseburger. Came out burnt like a hockey puck. At the time there were four people in the restaurant. Sent it back. Replacement was ok and they knocked 2 bucks off the bill. Gave them a chance at Sunday dinner. Fish and chips good. Pork BBQ sandwich good. Rib eye ice cold. Sent it back and it came back overlooked and rubbery. Just told them to take it off bill. No discount or concession. Will not recommend or return.
If you need to find a place to have dinner tonight around the area, then go to Logan's and you won't be disappointed. The calamar, ceasar salad and the Haddock where all excellent. The portions where just right and the old rock music, charming. The service was friendly and welcoming. They also have and excellent selection of beers, ex: Guinness.
Review Source:The beer is cold and the moose are chillin too... Â Decent food, and I wouldn't expect much more... Â I had a decent fish sandwich that hit the spot. Â My girlfriend had the fish and chips and was definitely underwhelmed. Â Given your options though in the area, it's decent eats for a decent price
Review Source:Good place for a casual meal or a drink. Free Wi-Fi.
Logan's is just off the Four Corners on Route 8. Decorated with photos of the owner's son, Logan, this spot is a great stop for a tasty lunch with or without kids.
The bar area, which has a good number of beers on tap, is in a separate area from the dining room, though visible through windows if you're trying to catch the score of the game.
We ordered the Philly cheeseteak special wrap with onion rings (delicious), French Dip sandwich with slaw (just so so), and a children's meal which came with star shaped fries.
Service was efficient and friendly, and the place really filled up even on a weekday in off season.
We stopped at Logan's on our way to Chestertown and boy am I glad we did! Â I had the turkey with brie and cranberry mayo. Â It was supposed to be on a croissant but I substitued sour dough instead. Â I would not have thought to put turkey with brie but it was fantastic.
Clearly catering to the snowmobile crowd in the winter, Logan's is a fun stop in the summer too! Â Â
Service was friendly and prompt with the waiter inquiring if we were "just passing through", something that probably happens alot in Speculator.
If you live here or are just passin' thru, Logan's is definitely worth a vist.
