While on vacation in Folly Beach we stopped here a couple of times for outdoor drinking and live music. Prices were very reasonable, staff were very friendly, and the live music was a plus.
I even got a grilled, instead of fried, fish sandwich with homemade pickles that was very good!
Excellent experience. Â Ask for Meredith who is incredible. Â My wife tried the mango coconut sunset, perfect pear and southern tea Cool Cocktails. Â She said the mango coconut is the best.
Half pound burgers are $5.99 on Mondays and are very good
We had a great time and will be back.
Best all around bar on the island. The menu has something for everyone and is a step ahead of the rest of the island. Beer selection is good and they have the best Guinness pour of all the bars. The barefoot bar outside is a great place to stop for a quick beer. I appreciate the dog friendly nature--I stop here frequently when it is warm enough. Very friendly staff and Eddie the owner and Mike the manager are very accessible and friendly. Just a great all around place.
Review Source:Went here with my mom for Superbowl Sunday. We started off with wings, which were delicious, big and meaty and the sauce was just hot enough. (We had to wait a little to get them but they were having a wing eating contest, so it was understandable.) Next we split the loggerhead burger with fries and the loggerhead chicken wrap with onion rings. The burger and wrap were both very flavorful and delicious. Fries were great they were seasoned with pepper as well which gave them an extra bite. Onion rings were pretty typical, not horrible and not amazing. We finished up with the fried oreos with ice cream which were BEYOND good. So yummy! We had a few different drinks as well. We both started off with the Turtle Margarita and although good a little steep in price at $9 each. I think this had to do with the type of tequila in them. Next I had the Purple Rain which was a blended drink with blue curaco and pineapple juice, I enjoyed not overpowering in anyway. My mom had the Berri Lemonade, which was delicious and simple. My final drink was the cherry blast, it was alright but it was VERY cherry, my least favorite of the night. Overall good bar food and fun atmosphere and a great place to watch the game!
Review Source:Just had crab cakes, along with margueritas and beer, at Loggerheads, and it was grand. Â The price was reasonable, and the food was great. Â Our server, Lauren, took really good care of us, and we could not be happier. Â There's even a ramp for leaving so that old drunks like us don't fall down the stairs. Â Recommend it highly.
Review Source:I love the american food here I go here for lunch alot! All of the other american joints don't even compare to the food & service here. Â Avoid the other 'grills' in the area GO TO LOGGER.
They have live music in the evenings and an indoor and outdoor bar. Â Good drinks that are affordable.
We have had three server all great no complaints.
Easily the best bar on Folly. The outdoor bar is pretty sweet, I like what they did with the bar top inlay. They have pretty good specials, but what place doesn't during the week? The bartenders were pretty awesome, and helpful as far as getting ideas of where to escape the touristy stuff.
We wound up coming here to get drunk several times, and I'm sure the staff may have gotten tired of us... But hey, we had fun.
Also, the live bands are talented, but are lyrically challenged... But that doesn't take away from the bar itself.
('Sexy Mothafucka' isn't a song... It's an instrumental where you say that every 3 minutes...Just sayin')
They do karaoke on Wednesdays, but there wasn't much of a crowd. Again, I went during the offseason so I can't say much for peak months.
Will definitely stop by the next time I'm in town, and maybe make it by to actually eat, and not just drink.
This bar was amazing. The atmosphere is great, drink specials are great, and the entertainment is even better. You can come to watch the game or hear the live band and dance. Not a single complaint, this bar and the people who own it made our fall break memorable and would recommend this place to everyone!
Review Source:Winner.
We came to watch College Football on a Saturday afternoon, and the owner went ABOVE and BEYOND when it came to getting the game we wanted to see.
The bar food (dry rub wings and nachos) were both great, and the prices were quite fair.
We also sat on the deck, watched the games AND the ocean. Â Win win.
Been to the other Folly Bars, and some downtown sports bars, and this is far and away the best bar for games and relaxation. Â Plus they allow dogs and kids to hang on the deck as well.
We were on vacation here from NYC, and this place nailed it.
Thanks!
LOVE this place! Â Been here many times, and will continue to frequent it. Â Open, and bright environment, with pool table, and old coin-op video games. Â Good laid-back friendly crowd, and staff is nice. Â It's my favorite place to watch football on dozens of large widescreen HDTV's. Â (They have the satellite package, so they get practically all the sports games!) Good place to go after spending an afternoon at the beach, and from some angles, you can even see the water while you're there.
Food is good, but not great. Really like their spicy cheesy bean dip (forget what it's called.)
I know I should have checked the bill more carefully, but we were a large party scattered over 3 tables, and it was vacation. My bill came to $21, and the waitress added 18% tip for "large party". I dont mind so I pay it. When I look at the bill for this review I notice that 18% of $21 came to $8.54!
Okay, I can see that it might have been a mistake. Maybe I didnt get robbed intentionally. But still.
