A place to stop for food... But only if you can't wait or don't want to drive to Flagstaff.

There really is a reason this place has two and a half stars. The food was ok, and the place would have earned a modest 3 stars, had it not been for the lady I can only assume was the loud mouthed manager mentioned in other reviews.

I was extremely hesitant stopping here after reading all of the horrible reviews, but when its one of the only places to eat, you take a chance.

The decor was nothing special, but the place had a cozy atmosphere.

The staff for the most part was ok with the exception of the one person with the loud mouth.

The service is rather irritating as they seem to expect you to know what you want when you sit down. I'm not sure why they feel the need to turn tables so quickly when there are hardly more than a few people in there at once.

The Cheeseburger I ordered was actually quite satisfying, so if you want a burger, go for that. The food was just ok though, it wasn't anything special and it wasn't anything terrible. Don't get the impression you are going here for a home cooked meal either though. This is all stuff you could do at home, and some of it you could probably do better.

Before you stop here, think on this review and the other ones here. Unfortunately the negative ones I read prior to stopping were an accurate representation of this establishment. If you are up for taking a chance, sit down, bite your tongue, and order a burger to fill you up... or take a pass and drive on.

Got here on a Tuesday at 12 pm and they were closed, despite the large neon sign and the billboard sign right in front saying "Open".  Apparently not a restaurant open in town.  We went to MountainAire just up I-17 and east at the Kachina exit, based on a recommendation from someone in town.  MountainAire was fantastic, the food was great, the service was excellent, they had a nice patio to sit outside and the best thing was they were open when they said they would be.  Go figure.

We have been going to Munds Park for over 10 years now and this place as slowly gone into the toilet !! Last weekend was the last time I spend ANY money at this place ! The Service was horrible and every customer around us was complaining about something . We finished our drinks and waited for 30 mins without anyone ever coming and taking our order. The food is bland at best and it is only a 15 minute drive to the iHop in Flagstaff !! They call it the "Lone Pine" for a reason because everyone should leave this place alone !!!

Not bad food at all and nice service. Totally unexpected since it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. Not sure why some bad reviews.

The ONLY reason that this place gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because we walked in at 8pm  (which is when they stop serving food on a Saturday night)  and instead of turning us away, the cook let us order subs or pizza.
That was fine with us because we were starving and just wanted to get food to go so we could get to our hotel across the street.
I ordered an Italian sub and a small pizza.
The total was a little over $18.00
When the food finally came, I left a hefty tip because I was greatful we weren't going to have to dine on crappy food.
As soon as I lifted the bag to leave, I knew that something was wrong.  It was way too light.  When I got to my car, I opened the boxes and the sub was about 4 inches long with meat and chz.  There was half a handful of chips.  The End.   No mayo, no tomatoes, no lettuce, no nuthin!!  I could feel the anger rise.  I opened the pizza box.  It was small- which was fine.
I just went to the hotel.  I was too tired and hungry to go  back  and complain.  Plus, they couldn't cook us anything else so why bother.
The sub was so dry, I threw  most of it away.  The pizza was ok, my niece ate one piece and decided she wanted pretzles instead.  I spend $25 bucks on crap food.
Server was ok, but the food is terrible and next time I would go hungry before I payed for anything in this place.

Took a drive to Munds Park to play in the snow and needed lunch.

The kids had a BLT with Fries and a French Toast plate.

I had a burger and fries..

It was all good, very average but good. The service was great. The atmosphere was good.

if you are needing a warm drink in the winter or a cold one in the summer, this would fit your need.

This place has gone straight down hill in the last couple of years. Not many locals go there at all. They all wait for the country club to open to go out now.

The owners of this place are lucky it is the only place in town! They would go BROKE in a market with other restaurants. This is the third time they ran out of fish on a Friday night! GET A CLUE!

Being the only bar in Munds Park, it's quite the happening spot on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.  It's closed during the winter, but the Karaoke heats things up in the summer.  You can't beat the cheap shots and cheaper beer.

The Lone Pine Restaurant is the only public  restaurant in Munds Park (aka Pinewood) AZ.  It is located off I-17 at Mile Marker 322 between Woody's Gas Station and the Chevron Gas Station which are the only gas stations on the East side of I-17.  The Lone Pine serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.  The breakfasts are reasonable with the two eggs, ham, toast and hash browns going for $5.95.  The ham slice is generous as well as hash browns.  At 7 AM there are several groups of locals that eat there every day. I don't eat there often but when I do it is on the way to get the newspaper at Woody's from my cabin which is 1.5 miles down the road.  It makes a nice early morning walk next to the golf course where Erik & Mike used to whip me wacking practice golf balls.  I felt lucky to hit 1 out of 50 in the general direction the balls were supposed to go and at the same time up in the air a respectable distance.  Erik & Mike, on the other hand, hit better placed balls but there was no way they would have walked for breakfast at that time of day.  A few weeks ago I tried Woody's Fish Fry on a Friday night and it was quite good considering the fish had to swim a long way up to the 7000 ft level.  The Fish Fry is all you can eat so my routine is to skip the fries entirely and load up on the fish for seconds and thirds.  The fish portions are severed just out of the fryer and quite tastey.  I have only eaten lunch at the Lone Pine a few times but don't recall anything out of the ordinary.
