This message is intended for Jenny O, from Huntsville. Chick you are out of your range here, or should I put it simpler for a girl who was only in here one time in her short life, you're probably out of your mind. You know I have to consider the source! This is "THE GREAT STATE" for a darn good reason, we don't have too many folks like you (thank you JESUS). Judgmental are you hon? Well all I can say is get over yourself! I'm a proud native Texas, 63 years old, I want for nothing, privileged to be healthy & living far away from Huntsville!
You want GOTHIC? Please grow up child! You look up the word, you probably still think it's a font type on your computer's don't like the Longbranch? Don't return! You don't like Texas get out! I too am a stranger to Corsicana, I met so many sweet, funny folks, NOT ONE TIME DID THE TERM GOTHIC enter our conversations! We played games, I still say I should of won game, but that's another story! Honestly hon, take a deep breath, be grateful you are healthy and allowed to post all the crape you do on this darn thing. PS The bartender is the owner, she's not being paid to put up with pissing and moaning from ANYONE, not even her loyal, faithful customers. Of course we were more age related. Go to Dallas, I'm sure their must be a few GOTHIC folks there. I always say "to each his own", well girl the Longbranch isn't any different that any beer joint in TEXAS, you are the one that is different! Notice I never eluded to the city of Huntsville as the home of the state PRISON! I figure you are a student at SAM HOUSTON or your loved on is incarcerated there.Good luck hon, one day you will realize how behind your own generation you are, Gothic went out 5-10 years ago.....

The Longbranch is a scary place if you have never been there before.. and if you're not a country person (as in.. you don't wear cowboy boots and Wrangler jeans). However, once you get to know the place/people, it's not so bad. The bartenders are friendly enough, and the patrons tend to mind their own business (unless you start trouble).

There is a jukebox, and Friday is karaoke night (mostly country and some classic rock). There are a couple pool tables and several dart boards. They have a dart tournament on one of the weekdays, but I can't remember which.

This place is a true dive bar. The decorations (or lack thereof) make it look like it hasn't been updated since 1989 - and it probably hasn't. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. It sort of adds to the strange charm about the place. What doesn't add to the charm of the place is that it closes down right at midnight (a little earlier than midnight, really). You sort of get kicked out. No lingering at this joint.

I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for a hip, young hangout. Most of the patrons are at least in their 30s. I also wouldn't recommend it if you are rude to bartenders, an asshole in general, or excessively goth. The patrons of The Longbranch will stand up for each other. Most of the people in there are regulars.

This is definitely not my favorite place to go, but it isn't because there is anything inherently wrong with it. It's just not my cup of tea.

If you like Hank Williams Jr and showing off your pool/dart skills with like-minded peers, head over to the Branch. You may catch me there if I am stranded in Corsicana on a Friday night. I'll be the bored, disgruntled-looking chick with a black t-shirt on. Come say hi. Please.

If you want a more fast-paced, crowded place to hang on the weekend, check out the bar at Napoli's. Not much better, but less creepy for you youngsters.

Oh.. and I don't think they really dig opening a tab for people they don't know, so bring cash.

[Note: The title is misleading. There is no grill.]
