I had nearly forgotten to review this charming little breakfast nook!
Desperate to find a quick, suitable place for grub on the go (other than McDonald's), we stumbled upon Longhorn's, a hop, skip and jump away from our comfy Econo Lodge room.
With a rustic hole-in-the-wall feel, we were seated immediately and waited no more than a minute or two to be serviced by a friendly (but young??) waitress. Â I winded up ordering my usual preference for pretty much every restaurant, consisting of pancakes, eggs, bacon, potatoes and sausage. Â Food was hot, fresh and wicked fast and while there was nothing particularly outstanding, everything was tasty especially for the price. Â (For two, everything came out to less than $14.)
It also doesn't hurt to mention how beautiful the forest view is from the upper level tables, especially the darling babbling brook. Â Chomping down on pancakes and guzzling coffee, I half expected to see Bambi somewhere out there.
Overall it was certainly convenient with its close location, good chow and quick service. Â ....However, the arcade games near the bathroom made for a time consuming detour. Â I'd definitely stop by again.
Went on a busy Saturday morning. Pancakes were on par with IHOP (not a compliment) and the sausage was dark brown, shriveled and super salty. Service was good and they have tables with a stunning view of the river, but despite being on a first come, first serve basis, they seat locals ahead of tourists. Wasn't a big deal because the line moves fast, but with so many breakfast places to choose from in the area, you can do so much better.
