Been here a few times, pretty sweet little place that's tucked away in a wooded area just off 75 (convenient and secluded!). Â I only went to grab a few brewskies and catch the race, but ended up getting a few Vodka Knocker cocktails at the behest of my waitress. Â It's the bars take on the Salty Dog, a mixture of vodka and freshly squeezed grapefruit juice with a salted rim, it was refreshing and damn delicious. Â It might sound girly, but I can assure any prospective customers that they are quite strong (make sure you get a double of course, definitely worth the small upcharge) and a few of them will get you on the dance floor (or shuffleboard or pool table if that's more your thing). Â
Also got some bbq to mop up all the libations in my belly. Â Again at the suggestion of my waitress. Â I got a pulled pork sandwich and a sausage and both were tasty as hell. Â The pulled pork was moist, tender and very flavorful and the slaw and onions on the sandwich added a nice extra dimension to everything. Â The sausage was juicy and just as delicious as everything else I had gotten here. Â They make a great house bbq sauce here too that went great with all the meat I got and really kicks everything up a notch.
Overall great place to just have a few drinks and eat some delicious bbq that's a little out of the way and very laid back.
