I like this place.  Good fish and fun atmosphere.  The service could use some improvement but you'll have that in a small town.  As for eatery's in Sherman this is your best bet and if you can't get in here (it gets crowded) head over to Red Lobster.  Other than that you're taking a risk.

Cellarman's American Pub is a true classic in the richest sense of the word. This spot is a perfect destination for a casual lunch, afternoon hangout, dinner destination, or celebratory evening. It welcoming and enjoyable enough for locals and college students alike. The decor is vintage/rustic. It's not ugly, but it doesn't put on airs. The food and drink selection are both impressive.

My wife introduced me to Cellarman's in 2009 and her claim was that, "They have the best pizza ever." I found that difficult to believe. After all, it's bar pizza. How good could it be? Apparently, it can be quite good. To this day, I consider the pizza at Cellarman's to be the best I've ever had in taste, consistency, toppings, and substance. When I miss Texas I miss Cellarman's.

But the pizza isn't the only good thing there. Every dish I've sampled has been excellent, and the drink selection is extensive. They have more than enough beers bottled and on tap, as well as just about any  mixed drink you might want. I never got wine there, so and I don't recall looking at their selection.

The service at Cellarman's was never bad. If you go during nice weather you might consider sitting on the patio. The view is nothing amazing, but there's just something nice about sitting at one of those wooding picnic tables with a cold beer in one hand and a slice of pizza in the other hand.

Although we now live in Virginia, we enjoy Cellarman's so much that last time we visited our family south of DFW we took the 70 minute drive up to Sherman just to eat there. It really is worth it.

    Enjoy.

We head here when we're in need of some brews and really good pizza. Thanks to their brick oven, you can request it comes out nice and crispy. I'm not too keen on the allowance of smoking inside (while trying to enjoy dinner) because I end up coming home smelling pretty yucky. However, I will give them props for receiving a mention in Texas Monthly... that's a pretty big deal, especially for Sherman.
