We made a very sophisticated judgement call when we picked this restaurant - we were driving from OKC to Enid, and it was the one of the few restaurants we could find that was still open. Â However, we were pleasantly surprised with our choice.
Being from California, we eat our share of Mexican food. Â The style was slightly different, (OK-Mex?) and it was the first of several Mexican restaurants we tried on our visit. Â
We asked the waitress what the most popular items were, and she said the Chimichangas and the Fajitas. Â We ordered a Chimichanga and the Rib Fajitas. (They had about 5 different options.)
The Chimichanga was a step above average, but not outstanding. Â The Rib Fajitas were amazing - kind of like Carnitas, but a little different because they were ribs, and served with green peppers and onions on a sizzling platter. Â Very good!
The chips were served with both salsa and a cheese sauce. Both were very good.
Even though it was late, the place stayed busy, and most people seemed to be regulars. Â If I find myself on 81 again, I would go back.
